Enjoyed this video Mark. Just a fresh reminder, even though you had a bad day, we your viewers STILL enjoy them!!! Keep up your great work and stay safe!!!
@MDLRFishing yeah definitely, seems to be happening to me every time I go out. I'm new to the whole saltwater fishing with artificial lures. But hopefully, that changes. I got me a new baitbox with a built-in air pump to keep my bait alive.
Went out Friday the October 25th. I wish I had struggled like you🤣😂🤣!! No flounders were hurt in my fish trip. Ever since they decided to close the season 3 years ago I’ve been a horrible flounder fisher.
Hola buenos días me gustan tus vídeos y los lugares que vas a pescar y me gustaría saber como llegar donde estas ahora si se puede vivo en Dallas gracias
Lost 2 today, one got tangled up on someone crab line,I was trying to free the line, flounder got off,I was so mad, people when finished crabbing pick up your lines
Hey mdlr… I was in the area this morning but too scared I get stuck in the sand making may way to parking lot. I have a 2 wheel drive Tacoma… you think it will be safe?
Hey Marc, just a quick question. Have you ever had any problem with the varivas braided line snapping on you? I love the way the lion cast smooth and far at the same time if you ever get them backlash I feel like the line snaps just off the weight from a 1/8 ounce jig head.
I’m using the #1 line and I don’t have any problems with it. I most definitely wouldn’t be spending my money on it if I did. I know through experience, anything smaller than the 20 lb test is prone to snapping on a backlash. It’s simple physics of using super thin diameter line.
Look at google maps. It’s the only jetty on Galveston Island. There’s no physical address. If you’re interested I have a report on Patreon for this trip.

I appreciate the support, means a lot! You’re the best 🤙!
Looks like a ton of fun! I really do need to do more jetty fishing, they can get pretty chaotic on weekends though. Cool Video!
Yes it can be a zoo, but worth it if you get lucky. Thanks man 🤙
Was nice meeting you out there! Bite was solid but we only ended up with 2 keepers on the day
Good to see you out there as well! 👍
Love your videos, Mark. I was in Matagorda Friday and had the same problem. All my flounder were all just about an inch too short.
It happens sometimes, right? 👍

It’s just the weather. We need the cold fronts that take place in November.
Just hit the bolivar north jetty this morning got two keeper flounder with some down south lures jigging on the bottom
That’s awesome 😎
I've been doing good getting them big staging flatties out of the marshes, closest to the channel in East Bay
Nice, stay on them! 😎
I just returned from there 3 hour ago. Most of guys did not catch flounder there (Seawolf park was bad as well).
It’s very hard to fish for flounder on the weekends this time of year

I can’t stand those type of people.

It can get pretty soft in there without any rain. Be careful with two wheel drive.

Got you mark thanks for the help and reply. Makes sense. 👍
Good day of fishing either way
For sure, it was a good day to be out there!
What size hooks were u using. And or what do u recommend for flounder
I use a 4/0 circle from Mustad.
I have good luck with new penny gulp onna jig head.
It’s a great producer.
Does anybody know where this spot is at???? I go to galvesyon all the time just wanting to try new place maybe love the videooo❤
Galveston South Jetty
Question … so you just use the normal seaguar line not the leader line then ? (I’ve always used the leader line due to claims of it being “stronger” )
Their leader line isn’t cost effective. I’ve been using the regular stuff for years and never have had any issues. 👍
@@MDLRFishing thank you for the information, great video
Hey mark , I’m off after Tuesday. Wanna make another run out there?
I’m good until a cold front blows through.
What's the adress to that fishing spot
Look at google maps. It’s the only jetty on Galveston Island. There’s no physical address. If you’re interested I have a report on Patreon for this trip.
Where is this location in Galveston?
The South Jetty
Where is this at exactly? When I look up Galveston south jetty nothing comes up
East beach
Look at galveston on the map, go all the way east and its at the end.
It’s the only jetty on Galveston Island. Take a look at google maps. 🤙
Are you wearing Simms shoes with cleats for those jetty?
Yes
Thank Mark
