All bikes have a power band. Now your point is that the power band on a 4 stroke bike does not have the "HIT" that the "Power Band" on a 2 stroke does. Power band is just a term to describe how the power is delivered from the engine. Such a smooth power band, or a peaky power band. You are right in that this bike does not have a power band that is like the power band in say a KX85. What I am saying is all motors have a power band. I just bought a 2011 110L for my son and it's so awesome. His last bike was a 2004 xr70 so like you said this was great choice to get him used to the clutch. And also i will definately be racing it! This this is fast for a 110 and the suspension is awesome. Great video of the difference
The KLX110's are great they are a lot of fun to play around on. I am 5'6" tall and I own two of them. You can install taller bars and a tall seat and have a ball with it.
What year is you KLX110? 2010 and newer models will be a 4 speed transmission. If you have electric start you should have a 4 speed. If you do not have electric start it will be a 3 speed. You can convert the 2009 and older models to the 4 speed. Requires engine disassembly to do it but the parts are not expensive. Thanks for watching!

Kawasaki did not start putting 4 speed in them till the 2010 models. The older bikes can be modified to have a 4 speed transmission. Your bike was built by Kawasaki with a speed transmission. Thanks for watching.
I have a klx 110 with a fmf custom exuast , a cam shaft kit , and some more customizations and it's a 07 really good bike does about 75 at the max with the customizations but I would suggest the klxl if you have some extra money. There I think I've made my point
