    i really like the rider+bike format. would like to see more. Especially as you never find reviews of older bikes which is exactly what most people on a budget are looking at. To me thats a large part of what makes your channel awesome, your not scared of the old and beautiful

      Exactly thats why i love making These. Ofcourse i love new bikes aswell and they bring more Clicks but no one will See a Video on a bike like that and then get the Idea to buy one. But with this that actually is a posible Option

    Great video and format, I'm just discovering your channel. I've had my 1990 VFR 750 for years, and I wouldn't sell it for anything. It's an extraordinary machine, still so modern.....and completely underrated in Switzerland where you can find them for barely 1000 Euros....

    Nice and honest review of this Japanese gem. What you guys missed though, was to mention that the engine of this bike doesn’t consume oil between services. Consumption ranges from moderate, i.e. 4,5l/100kms (in case I ride it) to hilarious 7 +l/100 kms (in case Sher rides it😂).
    Cheers and safe ride!

    In the mid 1980s I had a Honda V4 Sabre V45. It was 698cc to evade the 700cc import motorcycle tariff that Harley Davidson encouraged Congress to pass. My Sabre had the Hondaline full fairing and detachable suitcase saddle bags so it was set up for sport touring. I would routinely cruise at 115 mph comfortably.

    I'm 50 and last year i rode my 89 vfr750fk from Norway to the Isle of Man and back trouble free. Almost crashed in Belgium 😮. The bike is heavy and has a special smoothness and quality feel that ways up for the not top notch touring riding position. The engine did not use a drop of oil after 85000km. Now an old bike like this needs to be looked after! Don't be naive❤

      @@user-up3kj1yg2c for those who understand the bike for what it is, the VMax is indeed one of the best bikes ever. At least on public roads, at speeds and ride styles that don't exceed the legal limit too far. And if you stay in "civilized" regions. On racetracks, off road and far from gas stations hey are useless. I couldn't afford a Münch Mammut, so I stuck on it's closest modern spirit.

    I was looking for one about a year and a half ago, opted for a ducati st2 instead because of the vfr high fuel consumption. In retrospect, both bikes are probably unsuited for my needs as I do quite a lot of city riding and now I'm looking for something else. I admit this bike is better in the looks department than my st2 though.

  • @andrewdoran4572

    A friend has one of these, having ridden the VFR I came to these conclusions.....felt gutless...it wasn't....but it didn't "feel" like it was pulling strong ( even tho it was) I wasn't too happy with the different coloured clocks.
    The side fairing had false black "air vents" to ape the NR750.....again, pointless...... but the bike ride ok......smooth engine, as ever from Honda.

    • @FreeMilesMC
      @FreeMilesMC  2 місяці тому

      Probably the feeling you are discribing comes from the bike not giving the Tipical sportbike clues like other bikes that can make it very deciving

    • @MoePower2

      Those air vents are real and doing their job thought.. Air exit through the vents under the seat, so they help pull heat from within the fairings.

    Wonder why you`re worrried about speed cameras facing the front of your bike😅 great bike, great video. Cheers

    • @FreeMilesMC
      @FreeMilesMC  2 місяці тому +1

      Some of the newer once also flash from behind and also if you get many ones from the front you have a higher risk of them linking multiple speed camera pics from the front to you when you get flashed from behind. As they still know your clothes height other physical features and make model and color of your bike.
      Also in some towns some motorcycles are not super common so if you overdue it they will figure out who you are.

    Owned (for a short while) a vf 1000f . Predecessor of the rest of twin fours. A beast of a bike if it was running right. But there were to much probs whit those bikes. Carburator and leaking headgascets just to name the biggest. Taking half a bike apart to get to the heads is the same shit as is still happening with newer or new bikes. A bike needs to be simply build and easy to work on. Not being build shit compact like a damn car. I endend up selling my bike for peanuts because i hated it. Never ever a twin four again. Having said that. I am a old bloke. I grew up in the 70,s and early 80,s. When bikes looked like bikes and not like fucking robot transformers. Made from steel, not plastic. Easy to work on. A bitch to ride sometimes. But you worked with the bike , you felt something that is not there anymore with new bikes.
    Abs, a computer telling you when you can start your bike, computer telling you this or that is not working correct. You got 20 km till the motor is shut down for safety reasons. Oh, the horror, a led lamp failed. I cant ride whitout a computer who tells me what to , the computer has a glitch for a sec. Cant start your bike cause the computer cant find the nearest gas station where you can take a shit whitout paying 5 euros for it.
    Radar cruise controle ? Sure. Look at cows in a field instead of a upcoming bent in the road.
    Bikes from 2005 onward are lazy mans bikes. The have become cars on two wheels. Riders today relay to much on electronics. (Forced upon by goverments who are complete morons) the generation growing up with this shit computer bikes wil if the are intrestid in real bikes regret the day they bought there latest new computer transformer bike. I hate everything that has more than simple carburator. Having said that, i do like the kawa 800 w. I know it has ( fake feul injection)
    But thats the only bike i would consider owning. It is very easy to work on. But than again i like strolling alonge with 90 to 110 km a hour.
