Blade flapping is when the blades flap together so the helicopter can fly away on its own to get fuel and then return so it will be ready to fly the next day !! I hope this helps !! ✌😎

You're backwards. Flapping increases lift and angle of attack on the retreating side and decreases lift and angle of attack on the advancing side.

    You explained it very well

This explanation did absolutely nothing for my understanding of blade flapping. What specifically is "flapping"? Is it a sound, or a movement, or both, or neither? Is it good or bad?

It’s movement of the blade itself

as I understand, the advancing blade (blade that moves against the wind) has more lift, therefore it "flaps" up while moving forward and the angle of attack decreases, which means the additional lift is being compensated. the retreating blade moves with the wind -> less lift but it "flaps" down, which increases the angle of attack and gives it more lift.

The Angle of Attack or the angle at which the blade is moving into the on coming wind moves up and down to compensate for lift. The retreating blading increases AoA and lift(Goes up). The advancing blade decreases AoA and life(goes down).
This process is to control the helicopter's lift and decent. Without it the helicopter would always be ascending or descending.
This entire process is called, Blade Flapping.
