As a jamaican I've seen all type of helicopters but Airwolf is the best design ive seen in my entire life. No chopper ever come close its the best today i yet to see its second.
One of the actual pilots for the show said that the aircraft (Bell 222b) that was modified, actually flew better with the modifications than without... Plus, name a more wicked looking helo than this even by today's standards... "The Lady" is still an awesome sight, even compared to the other military helicopters out there.... Just plain beautiful...
I had read the same thing about the airwolf modded 222 flying better at speed. The mods only added 280 lbs and since it was pretty much empty, it was a sweet ride, probably the sexiest helo ever made. I also heard that blue thunder (modified Gazelle) was so close to max takeoff weight that they were constantly redoing W&B.

According to some sources, if you put all the interior dressing in the chopper and two people, it could not take off at all because it was too heavy.

But actually when we are kids we had a good taste with this type of airwolf drama series as well as Knight rider, Time tunnel, Super train, Land of the Giants, Street Hawk, Viper, Mcgiver, Monkey magic, Planet of the Apes, A team, "V" , Blue thunder , Chips and some others.

Great looking model. The only thing that bothered me was that the real Airwolf had the tail rotor on the other side. Small detail, that might have been changed due to mechanical constraints, but it really bugged me. Other than that, great model and nice flying.
Same here! I first noticed that the tail rotor is on the incorrect side, but after watching this beauty's flying, I forgot about it. But, yes, the tail rotor needs to be on the co-pilot's side to be correct.
that ain't a fake mountain. It's a hollow sandstone butte located at +36° 54' 37.19", -110° 4' 34.27" in Monument valley, Arizona. The arch entrance is navigable by wheeled vehicle, and there is a chimney.
I LOVE that... beautiful-- I want one-- but I'm on half the SS i was suppose to get. Once i get my eye surgeries done- I'll have an income to start and THEN will get one.. and work up to the BIG ones... LOVE IT.. SUPER FLIGHT too!!!
If one of the mini model hydraulic jack makers would make a 3 ram setup that runs off air then they could make a killing with a retractable gun setup. 3 jacks that come out when air is applied and reversed just like a dump truck boom does. They make mini rc types for rc bulldozers etc, by putting 3 together you could pull it off with 4 hoses and one switch total. Use a separate jack or have a sequencer that will push the guns out once the doors are opened. Vario made something like that but they were too small and cost wayyyy too much.
I'd have to cheat and put the core of a MD-500 into this so it could do aerobatics. None of the clips from the show are necessary, just watching this thing fly around is enough. :D
To think I liked this series plus others like Blue Thunder and Knight Rider back when I was a child. Now they look so cheesy. If I had the money and wanted to fly a badass gunship I would build a Mi-24 or Mi-28 or a Ka-52.
What's the maximum altitude and high and distance with this rc helicopter? Does it have any camera for live transmission to the controller like a drone?
I think it is better to remove the sound from the model and replace it by the sound produced by a real helicopter. It would make the video much more impressive.

Some models do,except for the pod,some even have the actual spot light underneath the copter too,I think it depends on how much your willing to spend.
