Hey in case you guys were interested in the major Mass Extinctions you guys were talking about, I think you were referring to the Permian Mass Extinction, that was the biggest mass extinction that we’re aware of in prehistory. Approximately 97% of life in the ocean and 70% of terrestrial life went extinct. Though there have been 5 mass extinctions, including the Permian and the Cretaceous one. The others happened in the Ordovician, Devonian, and Triassic periods. So there have been 4 major mass extinctions before the dinosaurs went extinct.

The Autarch Aside from Yucatan's meteorite, there is also evidence of huge volcanic activity in the area surrounding Siberia that are dated at almost the same time as the meteorite. Maybe it was a consecuence of the impact, maybe it was caused by other thing, but the sure thing is that Late Cretaceous wasn't the nicest time to be alive. Right now I don't remember anything about another impact near the K-T limit, there is a couple from the Cretaceous, but I can't recall if they are related to te extintion event

I'm way late to this video but man the nostalgia I get from this game. I remember playing this when I was in computer class in elementary or middle school. Whew those were the days y'know.
It's funny because there is a genuine theory that the solar system revolves around 2 suns that are fairly close together, which is actually incredibly common in the universe. Especially ones where they are 2 separate entities that orbit each other, and leech energy off each other, making a hot and explosive atmospheric haze that appears as if the 2 planets are actually one, even though they aren't. It honestly sounds ridiculous, mostly because it's super contradictory to everything we grew up learning, but most calculations about gravitational pull, the shape, and path the planets reloving the sun, and even the light refraction on earth's atmosphere making it appear as 1 sun, can all be possible with the presence of 2 self revolving suns at the center of our solar system. It's just one of those many weird but true calculations, where if by some weird happenstance we had 2 suns, each with half the mass of our current sun, or 2 masses that equated to the mass of our sun, our lives wouldn't actually be different and we may never notice. It's kinda like how if our solar system instead had a black hole the mass of our sun, besides the earth becoming cold, nothing would change with how we endlessly revolve around it, kinda like how the milky way galaxy revolves around a supermassive black hole. Math and astronomy are crazy sometimes. What's honestly the funniest part of this theory is that it perfectly explains why the Sun has to wear sunglasses.
