  • Hurricane Ian will become one of the top 10 strongest storms to ever strike the state of Florida. The storm had about 18 feet of storm surge.

    I live in Myrtle beach SC and every year I get unnerved with these storms ! I have hugh pine trees all around my home . When the trees start rocking and rolling I start to cry....Lol. WISH US LUCK !

    It’s 11:10 pm and we’re getting 40-55 mph winds with 65-70 gusts in Port Saint Lucie on the east coast, just goes to show how powerful this storm still is, I’m laying in bed and the house is vibrating 😮 stay safe y’all 🙏🏼🌀

      im in kissimme right now, every like 10 seconds we get like a 2 second burst of wind its weird. this is my first hurricane so i have no clue if thats normal

    I think scientists and engineers should be working on ways to stop these in their track. I understand satellites can detect an eye forming when its about 1/4
    of a mile across. Small enough to have one of the weaker walls blown apart with munitions or microwave technology. It's time we try to control this terrible life threatening hazard.

      no, they are normally tropical depressions or low pressures that far north. national hurricane center has a website and good archives by year that you can look at storm tracks

      The eye passed over my family and myself here in Punta Gorda. At least where I'm at, damage doesn't seem like anything crazy so far. Being here versus seeing it from elsewhere are 2 wildly different experiences.
