No microphones, no plugins, no auto-tune, just two cats with their guitars. This is my kind of performance. Such soulful singing and fantastic playing. So glad Derek said they should hit the whole thing.
No microphones? Are you sure about that? How exactly do you think they recorded the sound? 🤔 My guess, is that given the multiple camera angles, they have a film crew and at least one man standing in the room with a boom mic... They do however sound amazing. Even if the room they are playing in is far from acoustically ideal.
For some reason 0:23 is my favorite part. Just the fact that we could’ve just gotten a piece instead of the whole thing makes this video really special
I have this performance on my daily playlist to and from work and about 10 times during the day! Your band is so good and wow what I change up from song to song. Nobody missed a beat and that freakin’ guitar duo with lead and Rhythm is beautiful not to mention the vocals up front! You guys are amazing!
Wonderful duo ! Thanks to the French "guitar part" magazine for a mention about this Video (in an excellent interview of Warren Haynes & Tyler Bryant) I am very happy to ear That great song. I understand why it has influenced a lot Tyler in his process to learn slide. And I have to admit will probably work on slide with this performance in mind...
Each of these musicians could have a raging ego based on talent . . . but if they do, you'd never know it by the cooperative way they interact together.
two of the best slide guitar players alive...
For sure
Ever!!
Better than 99% of music videos released today.

The way the focus sharpens and the concentration kicks in after Warren counts off "two, three, four" brings chills
Saw these 2 with the Allman Brothers at the Beacon Theater 8 or so years back. Probably the best show I've ever been too.
that solo transition between Warren and Derek was the smoothest ive ever seen.
That walk up/climb down whatever ya call it is so dang smooth haha masters of their craft

I think they may be tuned to the notes of an 'E' chord. Because they can barre the 'A' and 'B' chords straight across the neck
It's drop D for Warren
Drop D for Warren and open D for Trucks, in awe for me.

Trucks lack of a playing face is the epitome of cool
Beacon Theater 2003

Right for Derek, not for Warren though. . .he plays slide in E Standard
Open D - DADf#ad
Warren Haynes is using drop d
Derek trucks is using open d
This guys are dynamyte! Makes me not want to ever play guitar again lol
Derek Wellington they wouldn't want that 😎 play for your heart 😊 but keep strumming those strings!!
Does anyone know what tuning this is?
babo85 Not 100% sure, Derek is in Open D, Warren in Drop D
Hmm, that explains the chords Warren is using.. I was so confused! Thank you for replying, cheers!
+BRUN Yannis Believe the other's in open E
