    You are gonna love the big screen.
    Dropping the spare made things a bit easier when I did the TPMS for ours. It would be nice if Ford had a signal relay near the back of the truck so you didn't need to add one to the trailer. .. like some other auto manufacturers. All in all a simple install and setup though.

      I do love the big screen. We've been in the new truck for two months now. Part 1 video on the new truck will be out Sunday morning. Concur on the signal relay!

    Great video Brad! I plan to do the same with the GMC version camera for my new Sierra. This is the best wire routing suggestion I’ve seen. What did you use to drill the hole in the bumper and how did you avoid chipping the chrome while drilling? More detail on this would be nice.

      Glad it was helpful! You can see where I poked a hole in the bumper when visiting Ronnie Dennis. I don’t carry that type tool around with me.

    Hot in Texas? That is why we get out of Texas in July and return in November. LOL.

      We try to do the same but we’re waiting on our new truck and some parts were delayed. Thanks for watching.

    Brad, great video. I have the same rig and truck. I have the TPMS set up but still need to run the camera. This video answered my questions with one exception. What size hole did Ronnie put in the bumper?

    • @ThirteenAdventures
      @ThirteenAdventures  3 місяці тому +1

      The camera is 1”. I think the hole is 1 1/8”

    Great video - thank you!! Similar to Johndascanio767 I also have a 2024 super duty and can't find the camera and TPMS kit. Seems they changed it in 2023? Apologize if I missed it but what year is your truck?

    • @ThirteenAdventures
      @ThirteenAdventures  20 днів тому +1

      It's a 2024 model but the camera and all hardware havent changed. I did initially install the new 7way & camera plug on our old truck which was a 2017 and then moved it over to the new truck once we picked it up.

    Thanks for making this. Is the equipment you show compatible with the 2024 Lightning FLASH? That's the extended range version.

    • @ThirteenAdventures
      @ThirteenAdventures  3 місяці тому +1

      I have no experience with the Lightning. I assume it would be it has towing capability. This would be a question for Ford. Glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful.

    I see that the hole near the jack has a cable already running through it and is quite full. why was yours empty?

    • @ThirteenAdventures
      @ThirteenAdventures  4 місяці тому

      Are you referring to the hole at the back of the a-frame on the trailer? The one where I ran the camera cable through? If so, it's on the opposite side of the trailer from all the other things that go inside. There is a hole on both sides

      I looked at it from the driver's side, so do you use the passenger side? I have installed the TPMS/YAW kit on my F250 23 (due to ProPride). I couldn't use the sticker, and I want to install the camera too, but I wonder if it's worth the time since we already have the wireless cam from the AS Pottery. Can you have the aux cam on at the secondary screen? The wireless from AS is always on so I dont know the benefit of it other than you would sacrifice for that, lose 1 main screen from the Ford

      Could you please send me an email at thirteenadventures@gmail.com
      We can sort out a time to chat and I'll answer all of your questions. I may have a solution for the checkerboard plate too.

    I have f250 2024 diesel lariet and would like to add similar. What part numbers should I order? Thanks in advance

    • @ThirteenAdventures
      @ThirteenAdventures  3 місяці тому +1

      I have no idea on the part numbers but it's the standard Ford trailer camera/TPMS system. There is only one.

      @@ThirteenAdventures The camera you have is (SKU LC3Z1A189FG) and now a newer design for those using the Pro Trailer Backup Assist is (SKU PC3Z19G490C). Both listed on the Ford site under accessories. Mine came with the same base wire harness kit as yours (SKU PC3Z15A416A)/with yaw sensor and hoping to purchase your same camera. Mine also came with the trailer TPMS Monitoring Kit (SKU PC3Z1A189AB). Unfortunately...the Ford Site states the same camera you are using " Does not fit vehicles equipped with Pro Trailer Backup Assist (see alternate kit)". This requires the new model camera (SKU PC3Z19G490C). I might have to purchase the other base wire harness kit (SKU PC3Z15A416B)/without yaw sensor to use the camera you have installed. Sounds like your setup works fine, so as long as I don't want to use the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, I should be ok.
