Dormant commerce clause was on the Feb 2024 CA bar exam, and thank God I had watched this video because it was the only explanation of the DCC that made sense to me, so thank you!
I'm using this analysis when I take my Con Law final this coming Tuesday. Thank you, Professor!
No problem! I'm glad you found it helpful. Good luck on your final.
I just learned more about the DCC in 6 minutes than I did in 16 weeks.
You made it so easy. I have been trying to understand the Dormant Commerce Clause forever.
Nicely explained
Well explained.
Thank you. I’ve been practicing for 30 years, and I still did not understand dormant commerce clause until just now. Great job of explaining it.
I listened to a couple of videos on this before storming across yours; you surely drove the point home in the most simple yet detailed way. Thank you for these videos, you’re a good teacher because you’re able to impact knowledge.
Amazing. Thank you. I will be using you when I take the California bar next. Taking NY next month. Thus was great.
You are always brilliant
Wonderful, thank you!
Very helpful! Thank you
Very helpful, thank you
thank u professor!
The trouble with this explanation is that it is only applicable where "commerce" is interpreted as an economic function. There are multiple definitions under "commerce", which were more widely used and more commonly understood in the 18th century when the Constitution was written. "Commerce" also applies towards social and sexual interactions between persons. Article I Section 8 makes no attempt to distinguish which of those definitions were or were not intended to be interpreted, only that Congress shall have jurisdiction to regulate it. The court's power of judicial review does not permit the court to dictate what Congress may or may not do. It only permits the court to identify and invalidate laws that conflict with a specific provision of the US Constitution.
Thanks Jay
Very helpful! Thank you!

Hi Wayne. Check out our website: personalbarprep.com
You can fill out an interest form or give me a call.
Why do people think they don't need a drivers license to drive nor do they think that driving over the speed limit is a violation because they feel they are driving safely even though the speed limit is posted? This person says he or she is protected by the first amendment and that state law does not pertain to them?
You did not point to the 21st amendment giving states rights to discriminate when alcohol provided the state system's predominant affect is health and safety.
Why couldn't my con law professor just say this...
So child support agency buy and sale give money to the mother the force a contract up the father ass where mother bears no responsibility at all I think it’s human trafficking.
