There is a nut molded into the plastic, I believe its 3/4 or 19mm socket right inside the middle, you don't need to use pliers on the outside... Also those rubber bladders should be inspected and replaced fairly often as they shrink in time just enough to allow them to leak externally. I have tons of experience working on Walkers. Also the fan that is broken off the rear hydro is very important for cooling.. I noticed the one on yours has all the fins broken.

Nice video. There is a hex head inside the bottom of each hydro reservoir that you can loosen them with a 3/4” or 19mm socket and extension rather than using oil filter pliers. I like to clean the screen in the bottom very well with some degreaser or brake cleaner and thoroughly dry before reinstalling. To refill hydros I take the top plug off completely and fill through the reservoir hole until the fluid starts leaking out that top plug hole. Then put the top plug back in and just fill the oil in the reservoir hole about 1/8” above the black o ring gasket that the plastic reservoir seals against in the top of the hydro unit. Then when you reinstall the reservoir the last couple turns it forces the new clean oil up into the reservoir through the screen into the reservoir then you are sure there is no air. Then after you tighten the reservoir fully you just top it off to the cold line and put rubber and cap on. Also you didn’t mention the reservoir is LEFT hand thread. Reverse from the standard. Not that anything you did was wrong… just a little easier and quicker my way and you don’t have to wait for oil to go through screen.
Good maintenance… but operating that at the end has my teeth grinding. Don’t start pto at high rpm’s… start em at low idle then throttle your rpm’s up, I could hear that belt hitting that pulley and it’s like nails on a chalk board
All you have to do after you Service is to take it for a ride and make sure you go forward reverse and side to side. That will work the air out. And just make sure you check your levels again. Thanks for watching
Just watched your great video. Love your garage man! Say, My 2004 MGHS was tracking forward perfectly but something just changed and now it does not track straight at full speed when I engage the Forward Speed Control in concert with the steering levers. When I engage the FSC it launches forward and spins to the left. I thought it might be hydro related which brought me to your channel? Any thoughts on how to correct? The night before things went sideways ( no pun intended ;-)) I pressure washed motor area. Fluids still look good. Thanks
If you haven’t change the Hydro oil yet I would try that first even though it looks good it breaks down after time. Check your manual To see what oil to use each model is a little different. Thanks for watching I hope this video help you!

The mystery is solved. I replaced the battery two weeks ago with one that was slightly taller. I thought at the time I would not secure it and get back to it in a couple of days. What happened was the small fan started cheering into the side of the battery and then acid began to drop on the components just below the battery compartment. It ate away a bushing that kept my steering alignment tight and aligned. The part is now on order and it will be here in a couple of weeks. That was a tough lesson to learn but thank you very much for your input. I will continue to follow your channel.

I've got to use penrite 10w-40 full synthetic oil with some oil stabilizer to bring it up to 15w-45 here in New Zealand we haven't go any of the 15w-50 mobile 1 even went to mobile themselves and they couldn't help apparently their is none in New Zealand I checked with walker and they say it's fine and will work ok but I will have to change the oil once a year instead of every 2 years because they say the oil will get dirty faster because it's not as good as mobile 1 don't know if I agree with this but whatever just happy to get to running mint again

looks like you were turning the wrong way trying to take the reservoir off initially (around the 11:00 mark)
They are left-handed thread and I figured out on the inside of the reservoir you can put a 19 mm socket to loosen them

What brand and model lift are you using. I have a Walker and would love to have one of those lifts as yes they are a real bear to work on!
It is a Handy Air Lift. I am very happy with it the one I have is at least 20 years old the newer ones are even nicer

What oil are you guys using in the hydrostatic book says it has to be mobil 1 synthetic 15w-50 but that shit is fucking expensive
