VP Biden could keep documents after he left the office. He could tell him biographer classified information within those documents. President Trump could not take classified documents that he could legally declassify. He could not comply with NARA and the FBI and lock them up while the FBI picked over them and decided what to take back. Biden could leave them in moldy boxes in his garage. I'm not an American, so I'm no expert. Did this guys say a Vice President is authorized to possess classified documents outside his service? Isn't the actual President the only person in the country who can keep classified documents, since he's the only one who can declare them de-classified?
@@headhunter8106 Only a sitting president can be in possession and de classify. biden was not President so he had no authority in 2017 to be in possession of them. This is why the report says @3:15 "He knew he could not legally have classified information".
Because a prosecutor has to include ‘prospects of success’ when deciding whether or not to prosecute. So to answer your question more directly, since a long long time.

If there were a double standard ... Mr. Pence would have been included in Ms. Hageman's question that inferred the Bidens and Clintons get special treatment from DOJ. They did not. Mr. Pence did not. Mr. Trump has been indicted because he didn't self report and in fact it appears he tried to collude with others to hide evidence.

I personally worked with Top Secret material in the military for 19 years, and i was what is called a CRO, or a Communications Security Responsible Officer. I know about what it takes to maintain this type of information. 1- any time you have it out of the safe, you must keep 2-person integrity (TPI), meaning no one person can be alone with it. This is waived for the executive branch. 2- All material when not being used, must be in a locked GSA-approved security container. 3- All active containers must be registered with the primary activity (DoD, DoJ, etc.) and inspected at routine intervals. While Biden may have been able to waive the TPI requirement, he absolutely didn't comply with anything else. If I had done what Biden did, I'd be in Fort Leavenworth right now serving a 20-year minimum sentence. Wash, rinse and repeat for Hillary.
