FIRST! That story however is double-edged. The Eri'Nox should have had a contingency for races who did not want to join, leaving them their freedom, as long as they themselves were not threatened. Some races may have actually WANTED to be part of a greater whole, and retained that option. What I see at the end of this is with all those other races now "free", many would turn on each other, which in the name of self-interested anarchy would then proceed to set the entire galaxy on fire. Freedom without responsibility is just pride, greed, and perhaps even pure evil. I hope the humans of that universe understood that, were responsible with their liberty, and would inspire others to do the same.
