That is one RED truck!
Great video, as always!!
Thanks Paul its sure red eh :)
Good looking truck Steve. The flaps fit nice after your mods. Cheers
Thanks Lloyd it got to be on right not this cheesy clip stuff :)
Love the new whip Steve! Those destructions get you every time, never read those 😂
Thanks Doug its bright red so you will see me coming down the highway forsure :)
New video, New truck! My opinion is you did it right. That should last as long as the truck.
Yes my f150 is 11 years old and my 2500hd is 19 years old so it was time. Ya a rivet is the way to go instead of cutting the seam sealer off and using a cheesy clip.
I definitely think riveting them on is a better idea
Yes absolutely but for some that live in places without snow or ever get mud on their trucks it could work without even the clip but what's the sense of buying flaps if your never going to use them . LOL
Dang Steve didn't even know you got a new truck, Congrats! I haven't been getting notifications when you upload even though I have the bell checked. I'll be binge watching now. 👍
Glen it was either the RST or the Z06 so since I'm spending the wife's money I didn't want to go overboard 😅😅
You did a very good job installing them mud flaps....I just put any size but then I’m not in the looking good part.....very nice installation.....CHEERS
Thanks Gator 👍
Beauty Truck Steve. Like the rivet idea too. When I did mine, I put a bit of silicone at the top of the mud flap, to stop water from getting between mud flap & fender. Great vid’s.Stay Safe
Thanks Les that's a good tip , I'm using it 👍
No drill is nice and easy but it will not hold for long.I would drill and screw it for sure.
Jim that clip was a joke as the snow and ice or mud on the flap would cause far too much weight for the cheesy clip to ever hold up 😅
I had no problem installing them on my Chevy and they looked great.
Nice ride Steve! How about a quick walk around and some details on that beauty! Great choice in color!
Thanks Rick at just 500 miles I still haven't figured out how to operate everything 😅 it's like driving a computer as everything is digital , doesn't even have a ignition key . I may do a review in the fall once I figure out how it all works . The coolest thing is the backup camera and power tailgate and the 8 inch infotainment system that you talk to , its nuts for technology compared to my 2002 2500HD LOL
Thats some truck Steve, looks mighty nice...video series on what you do to a new truck to keep the rust away ???
Thanks Johnny , up here that's an impossible task as the government just pours the salt on the roads like maniacs:)
@@SteveRobReviews lol...yeah mate I hear that was the same when I lived in Boston...
How's she goin'? I think your re-work of adding these flaps was a good move. Husky should listen to you!!! This flap was not a flop with this install!!! Take care!!!
Great fitting flaps but there was no way that clip was going on and if it did I doubt it would stay on for long .
nice truck steve !! Even if it is a chevy lol
My last chevy truck is 19 so if I can get it to last that long you will be my age then . LOL
Lol can't be hard on steve he dont know any better lol
Oh Brother! I went thru the same BS. I have a 21 Silverado and bought the same flaps. I sent 'em back. Beautiful truck!
I almost did the same as you but they do fit so nice so I thought one rivet is going to do a lot better than that cheesy clip that did nothing 😅
Self tapping screw would work@@SteveRobReviews
@cjsteele9594 Yes absolutely 👍
Truck looks nice
Thanks Danny , it's a lot of technology that's going to be a challenge to figure out too :)
I’ll bet a lot of guys see “no drilling” on the package and think that’s fantastic and a time saver - not so! Ha ha ha
Mud flaps need to be really secure as they take a beating especially through winter. Good mod job, cheers
I have yet put mud flaps on without drilling so this "no drill" was not such a surprise LOL
Beautiful truck Steve, the husky flaps look great on her. I would kick them clips too.
Thanks Ron , ya them cheesy clips just wouldn't last forsure.
look good, I like the the rivet idea.
Yes its a lot better than that spring clip.
It would be nice if they made them fit right. They sure do look good though.
They look great just the no drill idea is not possible on my truck plus a longer mounting screw included would have helped .
Steve you didn’t tell us you got a new pickup. Looks great! Would love to know your buying process and what you all considered when buying a Silverado vs Ford or Dodge.
Good question Drew so I did just that on my podcast ua-cam.com/video/ENhWXjKgn_I/v-deo.html
#nodrill lol They screwed you on that screw! You need to send this video to Husky! My Dad used Liquid Wrench! Good job Steve, I wouldn't expect less from you! Have a good weekend!
I don't mind spending more to get more but spending more and getting less is not a good business practice. I can see every person buying these mud flaps encountering the same as I did so ya Husky would be wise to know what a silverado build looks like and include a longer screw . The no drill idea involves using a knife to hack away seam sealer so a rivet is much better in my view . Cheers bud , smokin hot today hit 82F 🔥
That's a sporty looking truck, congrats! Not worried about red color shift / fading? I guess that by the time it happens, you're do for a new truck anyways. I'm starting to understand your logic! =)
My daughter wants the truck so I might have to get another one already . She says it matches her eyes perfectly so WTH , happy daughter happy life :)
@@SteveRobReviews you're such a pushover! LOL
Nice truck!
You know red vehicles get the most tickets so don’t be a lead foot and watch out for the coppers … haha
My f150 is burgundy but this one sure is red 😅😅 Cheers 👍
Been driving a red Silverado trucks for 32 years not one ticket! Driving habits play a major roll with tickets
