Hot Tent Winter Camping In Deep Snow

- In this video I go hot tent winter camping in deep snow with my new OneTigris Northgaze hot tent. This is the deepest snow I have been hot tent winter camping in for a long time! I timed this hot tent camping trip to coincide with a winter storm in the area. It had already snowed 18" (46 cm) by the time I arrived and it snowed another 8" (20 cm) while I was there! The snow was mostly knee deep but I sank waist deep in a couple places where the snow had drifted. It was very difficult to hike through this powdery snow with my sled! The temperature was 27°F (-3°C) during the day and dropped to 23°F (-5°C) during the night. I made pasta with sausage for dinner and slept like a baby! This was a challenging but very enjoyable trip!

А нас минус 3 в августе бывает,а при температуре зимой ходим в куртках дома можно без отопления,а так и без палатки можно ночь провести,попробуйте в ней с таким отоплением в минус 30,а потом снимайте,смешно

Помню, ездили в Нарьян-Маре зимой в лес. Чум, национальные блюда, оленьи упряжки . Тишина и покой от городской суеты. И так ездил по тундре десятки километров от цивилизации и населения ночью в мороз по середине тундры, одиночество и свобода, прекрасные звуки дикой природы. Хотел бы в Оймякон в самые морозы

Да, клево смотреть сидя дома. А штука с вентилятором вообще бомба!
Снаряжение понравилось - компактное,удобное, надёжное. И палатка,и печь,и сковородка с кастрюлькой,и лежанка(кровать),и всё такое классное. И всё помещается в сани...С таким, снаряжением в лесу любая непогода не страшна. Мне очень понравился ролик, смотреть было интересно и приятно,как то уютно... За стенами палатки - темно, ветер и снег,а внутри - от натопленной печки тепло и хорошо,лег - укрылся одеялом и спи... Красота!
И дальше что?

Oh my god, I am 74 and have still been using my WWII Surplus Mountain backpack with my Boy Scout mess kit from 1960 and a 2 man tent. Been below freezing with no heat at night, but never down to zero. I did buy a better sleeping bag for that weather and a foam sleeping pad.
Walked a lot of trails with that gear.

почему? из за того что автор более подготовлен? палатка, печка... и.т.д. думаю он тоже не с рюкзаком водки пойдёт 🤣🤣 мы так ездили. я очень смутно помню что там было. после того как костёр развели, и начали бухать, потом все как в тумане. кто в машине проснулся, кто в палатке 🤣🤣 тут мужик цивильно отдыхает.
@@Max-Gamer я примерно прикидываю,какой у нас в России климат.Резкоконтинентальный,на большей части территории.Если чувствовать себя нормально при минус 30 и высыпаться как следует,можно ходить в очень длительные походы и заряжаться на целебных геоактивных точках!Вот в чём смысл,по-моему.Мужик тут цивильно отдыхает? Минус три это в России бывает очень короткое время,а остальное - минус 15-20-25,а то и 30-35.Минус три это тепличные тренировочные условия для наработки навыков тёплой ночёвки.

You motivated me to start wintercamping~ esp. cooking on the stove was really impressive and wintercamping looked even warmer and cozier so I at first tried buying wood stove and left for the first camping trip...many difficulties were encountered but I am really waiting for winter coming so I could go camping~

Для показа несведущему человеку лежащему на диване это вполне подходит .Попробуй в мороз , разобрать эту палатку , упаковать в походное положение и продолжать далее таёжную кочевку , а покрасоваться с новья перед камерой вполне приемлимый вариант.

Been a long time since I made a quinzhee but hope to try it again. One great tip I learned when watching a TV show where I first learned about making them was after the builders finished piling up and packing the snow pile, they gathered a bunch of small straight saplings or branches and they would all be cut to length equal to the thickness they want the quinzhee wall to be (say 12-15" long). The builders took all these twigs and drove them flush into the snow pile pointing them towards the "centre" of the pile. These sticks would act as a guide as you began to dig out the quinzhee. Once you came to a stick, you knew to stop digging in that direction and prevent accidently digging through your wall. Cheers!

Я не понимаю такого отдыха, сидеть в палатке, пить чай, и кушать макароны, так себе отдых.

It's funny to read comments like "you're awesome, you inspire me to winter camp." Apparently, this was filmed for those who have never spent the night in the forest, who will buy a bunch of this useless equipment and still won't go anywhere :)
The dude spends the night in a single-layer tent with 5-6 kg of firewood. When cooking noodles, he burns 80% of firewood in an hour (look carefully at the timecode - 16:14 is how much firewood he had at the beginning. 24:27 how much was left before bedtime).Then he spends only two grand all night and doesn't even wake up on time. It was +73-71F in the tent all night, but the snow on the floor and on the walls of the tent did not even begin to melt :)

Вы пробовали ночевать в палатке когда она прогреется и в ней без пола на голом снегу будет каша из грязи? А мне приходилось, романтика это смотреть и не каждому это будет по душе.
Вы экстримал) , организация отдыха на высшем уровне, глядя на Вас даже хочется попробовать самому так отдохнуть. Но потом когда вдумаешься в детали , понимаешь что нужен большой опыт чтобы всё прошло так гладко как у Вас.

Всё круто, всё в баночках, коробочках, в пакетиках. Печка красивая, всё шкварчит и варится. 150 не хватает однозначно. Не знаю где это? может Финляндия или Канада, но лес красивый, видно китайцы ещё не залезли.
«Экстремал»- забавно, не более. Пусть в Сибирь или на Аляску съездит, да в мороз -20 -60 C поэкстремалит , и без своих современных приспособлений

I can’t imagine such deep snow. I live n Alabama. It just doesn’t happen here. That shot of the tent surrounded by snow with the stove going on the inside was a very comforting scene. N the fire fading out to dark was so nice. Thank u

@@HikeCampClimb that are temperature usually in your mountains in winter? I once falling into trouble on -18C, planning 0...-5 minimum . Survive only miracle
