Pitching in Fastpitch Softball is definitely a skill built through correction and repetition. Keeping hips open, snapping the wrist, learning your release point, keeping cool under pressure, etc. Keep working hard and I'm sure you'll be racking up those Ks on those batters you face!
Wow! These young ladies are sooooo lucky to be able to play on a well maintained and correctly prepared field... correct batters boxes, running lane marked, and properly edged grass! The only thing the grounds crew could add is perhaps a little moisture to the infield! Rec departments and travel ball tournament hosts should take note. Creating an acceptable facility only takes a little desire and progressive thinking on the part of those who are in charge. Most softball players never experience this kind of facility unless they are fortunate enough to be able to play at high schools or colleges that take their athletic programs seriously! 🤔 It is a joy to watch these kids!
Here’s a small tip to help coming from a 12 u travel softball player . At the beginning of the season I would do the same thing were I would bend over a lot and it took away a lot of my power it does create a smaller strike zone but if you bend your knees a little bit it help bring back your power . After fixing this I went from hitting small pop ups in the in field to hitting line drives into the out field. 😊
The first catcher has great strength! I play shortstop for 12u and e season just ended. We lost all our our games..... Great job to all those girls playing!

Im not quite sure of the reason why you would need 4 outfielder but I've done it before and there is a left fielder, left center, center, right center, and a right fielder
Yea, a bunch of tough calls by the home plate umpire on the batters in this game. Definitely a pitcher friendly ump! lol. Thanks for the watch and sharing your thoughts from watching the game. Much appreciated.
Well I’m a picture you really got to your first part is your set up to it so the beginning helps out with everything so if you come Your arm comes behind you your pitch most likely will be a little inside instead of outside so you wanna say as straight as possible but also you wanna keep your hips out and don’t close your hips too early

why did the first girl hit the base theres no base runners , i was told when u step up to the plate you hit the base when theres player and your promising to hit or get them home.
I’m assuming you are asking why the batter hits home plate with the bat when she steps up the plate to hit the ball. The purpose of that is actually to assure that the batter is close enough to home plate that the bat covers the whole strike zone when the batter swings. This is why you will notice that the batter reaches out to the furthest part of home plate, not the closest or middle part of the plate. It’s all about making sure that the batter can reach out outside part of the strike zone if needed. It has nothing to do with the base runners. Hope that answers your question. 😁
Is it just me or the field they are playing on is soooo smoothed well and so clean-

the fact that this is rec and the in fielders with the green shirts are better than the in fielders on my travel team :l
Thank you for the compliment. I'm sure your travel team will get stronger with more practice and game experience. =)
I’m not trying to be rude but it makes me mad when people don’t swing at 3 strikes in a row bc they just want to get walked
It’s usually due to lack of confidence at the plate. The batter is scared. More coaching and practice can improve that.
which queen
you are a very good queen
2:12 she wasn’t out she got to the base before they put the tag on her
No objection by the base runner makes me think she knew she got tagged before she hit the base.
@@FloridaSoftballNetwork hm, yeah maybe! It’s kinda hard to see LOL! Great vid tho!
Hi your team is really good I’m trying to be that good so I’m doing extra practice over the winter
Thank you so much for the kind compliments Carlie. Keep working hard over the winter but, most importantly, have fun while you're doing it!
What is your favorite song for school
That ump was so fair omg.
Crazy big strike zone....a true pitchers' umpire.
Catcher for dream team: SOMEONE LEFT THEIR BAT
Is this rec or select cause these teams are probably better than most of my 12 u teams
Hi Kim, this is rec however half the girls on the field also play travel ball. Thank you for the compliment on how well they play! 😁🥎💪
Love it
❤
Nice
good
Thanks
Play in a 10u team and we won 1/5 games these girls are amazing I also feel bad for the girl who got hit with the ball was she okay
So you can't steal home or did they just not do it cause we can but I'm 12u and it might be different just asking.
Hi Jadyn, for this rec league they did not allow stealing of home plate. You could steal any other bases just not home. If you watch any of the other games on this channel it will be more of what you’re used to with all bases and home plate available to steal.
Why there so many lefties I mean I’m the only lefty on my team.
Several are actually right handed but bat lefty so they can slap as they develop their game.
why is there four outfielders, in 8u we only got 3??
I think it was because it was a Rec league and many of the girls were new to the sport. They had a lot of strange rules. Check out any of the other games on the channel and they’ll be what you’re used to. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Im not quite sure of the reason why you would need 4 outfielder but I've done it before and there is a left fielder, left center, center, right center, and a right fielder
Wow theses girls are good
Thank you for the kind comment Karen. 😁🥎💪
That second batter should have been a walk!! 🤦🏻♂️
Yea, a bunch of tough calls by the home plate umpire on the batters in this game. Definitely a pitcher friendly ump! lol. Thanks for the watch and sharing your thoughts from watching the game. Much appreciated.
15:34 she is a fast pitcher
No she isnt
Good j0b !!!
That was good
Thanks Kamari! Appreciate the positivity. Be sure to subscribe so you know when we post new games for you to check out. Thanks again! = )
The team i'm on right now is 12U and we have 1 game left and only won 3 games. So both team are way better than the team i'm onl.
Keep having fun just playing and doing your best. It will all fall together in time with more wins.
At 11:14 that girls slide is better than mine! I wish I had a slide great as her’s!
What town is that in it looks really familiar
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
I was just watching this video. I really wanna be a good pitcher. Any tips?
Well I’m a picture you really got to your first part is your set up to it so the beginning helps out with everything so if you come Your arm comes behind you your pitch most likely will be a little inside instead of outside so you wanna say as straight as possible but also you wanna keep your hips out and don’t close your hips too early
@@AnnieTuckerh okay thanks. If you have any other tips please let me know
Be sure to follow Amanda Scarborough’s YT page for pitching tips. She has some super videos!

1:39 I'm sorry did she ay strike you could see the catcher move to the side a proof.
Yea, there were some questionable calls here and there. Catcher even got a call overturned at one point in this game.
The painful times when u have a bad ump. I had one so many times. Also my last game was today and it was 0 to 10 it was so unfair bc the other team had a pitcher that was way to good and striker everyone out
Keep doing what your doing, working hard to get better, and you'll be hitting bombs off that pitcher next season. = )
@@FloridaSoftballNetwork Tysm! I really needed that !
they did really good i did to teach my twins how to play like that
Hope your twins love the game as much as these girls do! So much fun.
In 10u I thought you can’t steal second that one did and they got out
In this Rec League game the rule was that you could steal all bases except home plate.
Niceee
I am going to my softball game right know
Best of luck! Have fun win or loss.....it's just a game after all! = )
@@FloridaSoftballNetwork thank you there was a big fight though
They play Very slowly and when I played, we won the season because we won most of the games and enter the last game very good because we won, but I wish my team was smooth as the teams
i play 10u
What age group is this? I like watching younger kids play. It encourages them to play in the future.
This game was a 10u game, which means all the players were 10 years old or younger. Thanks for watching! If you can, please subscribe to the channel for more great games to watch! Wishing you a super day.
Is it the first inning or the second or what ending is it softball player number 5 attorney starts tomorrow Friday the 5th June my name is Hannah
Don’t try to walk the bases!!
That’s always good advice! 👍🏻
I hear the chants, and the crazy thing is my coaches would never let us do those chants. "Too mean" and stuff like that and I'm in 11U fast pitch and these kids are so much better then my team.
The chants are the norm when it comes to softball. You'll hear the same chants and more coming from college dugouts. It keeps the teams engaged in the game even when off the field. Oddly you won't hear the same in baseball...definitely a softball thing and another part of the game unique to it. Thanks for the compliment regarding the game play of these 10u girls. Hope you keep loving softball. Thanks for watching and commenting. Please subscribe to support the channel. = )
why did the first girl hit the base theres no base runners , i was told when u step up to the plate you hit the base when theres player and your promising to hit or get them home.
Pitcher has to give strikes
