    Thanks for the video. I personally like the Canyon Trails. They work well for me in my area. Im just a trail guy though so that is probably part of it. Im gonna try your WD-40 method on a set I have laying around and see what I think. Keep it up man, sharing information based on real experience is great for people trying to learn. Those of us out in the woods actually running these trucks are the voices that should matter. Take care.

    I know a lot of guys say with the Rapture do you want it to be a little bit stiffer to where it just works off the tread pattern I tell you now I found cutting down the tread some on a lot of the tires helps where they ain't us tall definitely improved a lot of tires now I am running smaller scale stuff but a lot of the tire compounds are the same

    That’s crazy, it’s hard to believe that those ruptures aren’t performing. I’m in Ohio, similar territory, and Ruptures kill it around here. I’ve modified some 2.2’s and they are absolutely awesome. As far as the inserts go, I’m down with the silicones but the one downside I’ve encountered is that they are a bit bouncy on the rebound. Other than that, it’s hard to beat for the price for sure.

    • @RcDungeon
      @RcDungeon  Місяць тому

      @@DRZ-RC yah we were completely astonished that those Ruptures didn't work well. I've found a way to control the bounce of the silicone inserts, as well as stiffening up the green for about a perfect firmness. Will be working on an update video breaking all that down and explaining it

    Hey brother! I use transmission fluid in my lawn tractor tires to swell them up I wonder if that would have a better effect on tread? WD40 is fish oil based and dries out guickly but transmission fluid may work? Works on lawn tires just a thought and doesn’t ruin the rubber compound. ✌🏼🤘🏼👊🏼

    Do you vent your tires at all? I know you go in water with the scale stuff. My heavy rigs, 8lbs +, are about flat on vented tires with dual stage foams even. There are lots of variables for sure!
