It is hard to believe how flexible rails are but watching the Big 10 bit sure makes a believer out of me. I never thought of rails as being flexible but it makes sense that they are in the direction, as opposed to the verticle load-bearing direction. Amazing science. Thanks for the extended view of it.
@MrBootydaddy It is one of the major Mexican rail systems (that is roughly their equivalent to one our Class 1 companies) that now owns control of FEC.

@@Retired88M Most of us think of TTX as always being yellow these days, but what company really follows the rules of life? The red cars are a part of leasing/buying equipment from the used markets. I've seen desert tan FBOXs.

Just a mere $400,000 for the prototype, So a working (non-powered - but movable) one in, say N scale, should be about $85.00 or so 3-D printed. Are any 3-D artists up to the challenge?
I've often wondered what the Darwin candidates would do if the train started moving when they're half way across it? Jump or ride it out and potentially go hundreds of miles before the next stop.
The very first UP engine set is still the old paint job. UP is removing the U.S. flag from the side because they are all stickers, and difficult to maintain. So when the engines go in for their heavy maintenance, they will come out with a very similar paint scheme. Instead of the U.S. flag on the entire side, it will say UNION PACIFIC.
I guess it’s asking to much to instead of the U.S. flag being a sticker, how about painting it on. Or is that being too patriotic, or politically incorrect. Can’t proudly display the flag,it offends some people.
@@johnschneider3082 From the article I saw, it simply boiled down to practicality. Each engine is getting a retro type paint job and there is a flag on each side, just up on the cab where there are no access doors.

16:25 Nice sampler of FEC diesel paint schemes the past 30-40 yrs, save the most recent under Ferromex.
What exactly is a Ferromex? Is it a company or just the name of the locomotive?

It's really not that difficult. It's just basic unfolding.
I want to find a 3-D Print artist who will create the print file of an N-scale folding/unfolding one.
Is that cwr train going to be laid on the moffatt line or is it just being shipped west?

That looked like an entire brigade heading east in KANSAS COTY?
Heading to port on the Eastern seaboard??
It was westbound, likely to Ft. Irwin, CA., if they are headed for training.
Funny how Mr. Coyote usually follows the tracks.
