I've been watching your videos for a while and really enjoy them. It's great to see that you're getting your son involved in the video making process. I have a 9 year old too and he's starting to really like watches, knives and other cool EDC gear. As a parent you always want your kids to be into what you're into and it doesn't always work out that way, but it's pretty fun to get them involved in the process anyway. You never know they might be the next famous UA-camr. I own a different version of both of these watches and love them both. I'm with your son, I really like the look of the mudmaster, but but I'm with you and that the Rangeman is a better value and has more features. Keep the great content coming!

Nice watches, I have been looking at getting one of the smaller old school g-shocks
I recently got a Casio gravity master a couple months ago. The first watch that I got with a Bluetooth feature! Makes it seem like a smart watch. But that is now in my collection with my Rangeman & Mudmaster. But I have to wear a cotton wristband when I wear them because they rub my wrist raw & cause sores. Because these were made for guys! But still.... I enjoy them! And love ALL casio watches! One more thing.... When the kid said he liked the phantom, I thought he was talking about the drone lol!

good my GW9400 2 weeks ago, love it..tough:))) added bull bar protection..has more character/ macho appearance...looking forward to the GWF 1000 Frogman...then the GWG 1000 Mudmaster, have my PRG 240 protrek for everyday use
I just otdered the 9400 madman but before I bought that I put a mudmaster gg-1000 on layaway one night and the next day I got a call from the jeweler and she said we just found out we are going out of business so bring in $150.00 and you can have it I put $30.00 down so I got it for about $180.00 brand new I have a g-shock issue lol
Any thoughts on rangeman 9400, mudmaster gg1000, mudmaster ggb100 , mudmaster gsg100 (solar), mudmaster gwg100

great video, I'm between GWG-100 (new), GA-1000 (USED) and RW-9400. All of them at almost the same price. I have a 5600 GLS, so I like to have the needles of the GWG and GA, but I read some thing about failure of the hands in GA. Aggg CASIO you did it excelent, each one of them has something different and I like to have all of them hehehe

Dang.... not even close to 900 likes yet. But I’d sure take that MudMaster off your hands. I’d really like the newer GWG-1000 but it’s a little out of my price range at the moment. I’m sort of stuck between both of these watches at the moment and trying to figure out which is gonna tip the scale for me. Great video and thanks for the info and input!

What's your wrist size mate? Also the problem is that this Rangeman is not produced anymore I believe so the news you get i think is 2016 series. Which means that Solar panel sits in a box without any exposure to light for 4 years. That's not good. That thing alone takes away from the battery life...

Do you think if I have the gwg 100 already that it would be worth it to get the gwg 1000? The 1000 has been a dream watch of mine. The 1a1 model.
Mr Mac it depends if you need the extra functions or you like it and you will use it every day you would better take the gwg 1000 . I am also going to buy the gwg 1000 soon

Overall, I like the Rangeman. However, one thing I like better about the Mudmaster is it has an analog as well as a digital display (The Rangeman is only digital display). If the Rangeman had a classic watch analog display in addition to its digital display, it would almost be the perfect watch IMOH. Good topic comparing 2 great watches. It also cracked me up when Maverick said his favorite watch was the "Maverick"!
I totally agree. A Rangeman with analog hands and a digital display would be really cool.
I would like the grey strap of the mudmaster on the rangeman, I think that would be a cool combo. in saying that, I'm currently wearing a maroon t-shirt, brown shorts (I have strong views on scotsmen wearing shorts but it's quite unbelievably hot here this week) and blue skate shoe things so I get that I might not have an eye for this type of thing.

Yeah, I think it is a tad more comfortable.
I love my GW-9400 but it have known problem that the plastic there the watch spring bars a mounted in the housing brokes and you need to replace the full housing to fix it so for longevity i give it to the Mudmaster

hey man please help me out...I have ordered this GW-9400 Rangeman two days back via online...
tomorrow I will receive this...my issue is since its a solar watch so conscidering that fact what do you suggest
regarding the batch number...its 2018 should I go for the model that ends up with the alphabet 'H' or what if it is older...
will it be okay to keep it or should I refund the iteam... I dont want the battery to get screw because I have heard keeping this watches under dark for long time can hamper the battery life or it could be damage
and since its from online so god knows for how long it was kept withing the box in godown under complete darkness...
this thing is really bothering me man...this is my first solar model of G-SHOCK ...
please suggest me...I am tensed :-(

The range master is on my short list but first I have to get my daughter a g-shock because she is joining the US Army July 5th. Basic is in August!!!
Good for her! Remember to tell her that basic is just a game and that they won't yell at her in AIT(Advanced Individual Training). May I suggest the DW5600MW-7 or if you want to go all out with solar and atomic get her the GW-M5610MW-7JF. I know you're a proud dad!

The Mudmaster is an analog focused watch not necessarily easier to read maybe for you. For me the Mudmaster is easier to read at a quick glance because of the hands.
