    By far the best series of seatrout movies! Wounderfull and aducational filming, both above and below water. Knowledgeable angler and narrator, with a voice that pleases your ear.
    Fantastic!

    came here via salmon 1 and 2 ... subtitles on ... all good ... subbed. Worst sea trout water/weather ever .... nice spring nights for us in Scotland.

    This is incredible work. I love scientific approach on the topic. …However, I would be curious to confirm that camera on the rig is not effecting the interest of trout in some of the cases pictured. For instance, at 29:15 it very much looks like trout was more curious/spooked by the camera than by the lure. I know it’s challenging to eliminate everything, but it seems to me that we can’t fully deny that in some cases, camera itself might be the reason why fish is getting suspicious.
    Thanks for by far the most interesting videography on trout on YT. :)

      Thanks a lot for your fine words. The trout appear completely aware of the camera, and they also react accordingly. That is one of the reasons they rarely bite. It looks strange with the camera in front of the lure.

    Very nice type of footage👍👍👍How much of factor is water clarity for seatrout lure success???And what is the optimum temperature??

    • @WideOpenOutdoorFilm
      @WideOpenOutdoorFilm  10 місяців тому

      The water may be murky, and the optimal temperatures are between 4-5 degrees to 18 degrees. But watch the entire series; there's a lot of valuable knowledge to gain.

    Den mest lærerige video til dato. Burde have 1.000.000 views. Synd for for de mange nybegynder som har rundet 100 nul ture og ikke har set denne video. FLOT ARBEJDE.

    Its might be the lure, but also the nylon monofilament used instead of fluorocarbon and they're seeing the line?

    • @WideOpenOutdoorFilm
      @WideOpenOutdoorFilm  11 місяців тому

      It is fluorocarbon, and it is not totally invisible.

    You do realize all the equipment you presented here is beyond financial reach of na average fisherman outside of Denmark, right?

      @whitetroutchannel Рік тому +7

      maybe the top end rods and reels but a mid budget reel and rod with braids all thats needed and the lures are not expensive and thats the most important thing for catching seatrout

    • @patsanters2741

      @@whitetroutchannel And also some people like myself make my own lures
      made with materials on the vice at home and added on the tieing underneath lead foil as nothing better than catching sea trout on your own made lures :)

      Yes, but there are cheaper options for all pieces of gear.

      I always use cheap or second hand tackle with the exception of a large arbour Loop reel. For instance : Greys Carp Rod = £100.00 - Greys Salmon 15’ flyrod £1000.00 (figures not completely accurate) you get the picture? Its all aimed at the percieved depth of the potential pocket. Stop buying the expensive, hyped products and the prices will tumble.
