maybe i say this as a huge fan and admirer of KH, but i would be a way better drummer for her than this drummer. i'm likely being overcritical, and face it, he got the gig. i honestly feel that during this time period, i was full time gigging with original bands, and i was pretty damn good, as most young drummer were. my band Swank, opened for muses during university tour. us, the boo radleys and muses. my wife worked for warner music, and that was the only time i ever asked her to pull a few strings. commodore ballroom vancouver. so many famous musicians, artists and performers, have been on that stage. sharing a gig and , that stage, with muses. i have chills to this day. and for the record, who ever drummed for them that night, was amazing and so locked and loaded. a lot of years i have wished to put into words, that gig. everborg xo
A steamroller. And more interesting, because they choose to. They can be subtle, they can run the whole gamut, but never leave you indifferent or cold. This is the kidn of music that carves you deep.
Only bad thing about this lineup is there is no Tanya Donnelly harmonic counterpoint that made their earlier albums so eerie and cool. Otherwise this is fire.
Agreed on all three counts. But wanted to add that Bernard Georges is a talented bassist and it's nice to hear the Shimmer bassline so clearly, since it's pretty awesome.
It should be, since they're friends and recorded many times together. The album these are from heavily features cello and strings from him and her wife (she calls her "The McCarricks" on some liner notes), so it's likely. I didn't know he was from Therapy?.
Killer song. Band on fire. Worst video editing I've ever seen. If there was a stationary camera 30 ft from the stage I would have been able to enjory the video a lot more.
Everyone in this band is an absolute BEAST on their instrument. The Muses were a force in this era.

The rhythm section is on fire and she is burning the stage up with intensity and brilliant guitar work. Wow miss 90's rock.
Kristin Hersh la mejor de todos los tiempos 😎.
The bassline on Shimmer... so good.
Wow… This really brings me back. Saw them at the Fox theater in Boulder, Colorado on this tour… Memorable
how many years....still a brilliant song..
Loved Bright Yellow Gun bought University when it came out, great album.
Still holds up after all these years.
Best band in the world. Ever. Full stop. 🤩
Thanks for putting these up. They still sound revolutionary 20 years later.
2 Amazing tracks...After 25 Years still sounds as good as anything out there.
I know them since ~1990 and love them more and more over the years.
Throwing Muses has so much energy live...A Must see
She shimmers on horizons

Wow words can not describe how this band is ❤
Good fucking lord this is holy
Her eyes are incredible.
Superb performance of a fantabulousong. A jam.🥳
Underrated band!
this is in my top ten. Yep its up there all right
What a great sound!
F*cking beautiful...

Thank you for this! Classic stuff. "Shimmer" is one of their best.
Great versions of these songs, thanks for posting! Sure could do without all the MTV video trickery though.
Great band.... great songs!!!
Why is she not on RS's 100 Greatest Guitarists list ( or is she? ), I mean Kurt C is in like the top 20.
j0eX sexism :P she’s amazingly talented
She rocks harder than about 19 of the top 20 blokes😀🎸❤
Wonderful!!!!!
damn, electric cello!
Exelente !🤙😎
¡Pure love to this!
Annoyingly edited. But it puts a spotlight on David Narcizo. Best drummer ever.
Agreed on all three counts. But wanted to add that Bernard Georges is a talented bassist and it's nice to hear the Shimmer bassline so clearly, since it's pretty awesome.
University
Limbo
Golden age of Muses
Damn...
She / they, went hard as hell at the close of both! 🫠
Damnnnn.
Gonna watch it twice.😁
This summer,all summer,Kristin Kristin Kristin
This is edited like a nightmare. I hate it. Haha.
Kristin hated to shoot this, on Twitter stated that the camera were basically near her face that's why she closes eyes sometimes
Very nasty mtv golfish attention span edit😂
Its nicely lit though.
Why is there an inaudible cello player on stage?
Really enjoyable intense performances completely ruined by the ridiculous camera work which makes it more or less unwatchable
Is that Martin McCarrick from Therapy? on cello?
