Love spending time at Wheatley. I stay there when at the Festival of the Birds at Pelee. Do the tour of wineries in the area. Visit Colasanti's Greenhouse. Lots to do in the area! 😁😁
I remember my GPS getting me so lost going across Canada- some back road in rural Saskatchewan going nowhere. Our GPS lady liked to drink a lot I think (we'd say "she's drunk again"). And the GPS stopped upon arrival to the Yukon -it was like it didn't exist. Fortunately there really is only 1 road to Dawson City.
Hi guys: I don't know if you follow the weather or it follows you. However you seem to be successfully preventing a drought in South West Ontario. Usually I interpret this kind of day as a wish from God that I spend the day reading a good book in my tent. Stay safe & thanks Brian 81.
I haven't been the Wheatley PP in a long time. A couple of years ago, I had to go to Taylors to get perch to bring back to Alberta. They were one of the few fisheries that had perch for sale to the public. BTW, Taylors fish batter is very good.
This is essentially my backyard. I prefer to camp there in the off-season especially during the winter. There is a section there where there is group camping area just before the main building that has a lot of deadfall.
That highway 3 detour is nuts. Very poorly marked. You practically drive back to the 401 to get to the proper detour. It is marked eventually, they need more signs that say keep going.. yes... keep going. Also it is easy to get lost in that part of Chatham-Kent. You got to remember that back in the day there was a popular pub in Port Alma I believe that the surveyors went to frequently. It is the reason why the lots and roads don't make sense. Just depends how much ale they consumed that day to how straight things are.
So sad you folks were here when the weather sucked , LMAO " your not suppose to look at the camera " too funny Christen./ Kevin, it's an awesome park for sure .
"My tarp is getting intimate with you." Is that code for something unusual Kevin? Another thing with the slow demise of paper folding maps is that if you really have to go, are a man, and there is no where to pull off the road to, you used to be able to unfold the map over the hood of the car on the passenger side after pulling onto the shoulder. You take care of business while pretending to try and find on the map where the heck you are! 😉
You too are the genuine deal. That made my day.
They are so. Or should I say they are two?
Yes, I realized my gaff after the fact, but thank you for pointing that out.
So glad. Yes, it was a "real" trip that's for sure...
Omg you two are hilarious ,,love it

We met such amazing small business owners on this journey. I hope them all the best. They deserve it!
You have a canoe on top of your head so that is referred to as a "portage".
I love seeing you two again. AND...you've definitely stepped up your music game!
