I'd like to get one and just drill a hole through the other side of the firebox and install it through there, so I don't have to fiddle around with that adapter staying wedged in the damper. Thoughts on that?
I'll be honest and you can see other reviews on UA-cam here. This thing works awesome on my UDS, but on the offset I don't think it pushes enough air to maintain temp. I think the offset requires too much airflow, if that makes any sense.

Can you give a full demo of this being used to smoke some food? I'm skeptical how such a tiny laptop fan could make a difference in automation...

@@nathenoneptoh I did some research and commercial units like “masterbuilt” gravity charcoal systems uses these tiny PC fans and works good.
@@nathenoneptoh You are correct. I have an offset smoker and the stack extension mod worked way better.
