Wow. "Super Password" just had no luck trying to use OYSTER as an answer to a puzzle! The two times I saw either Bert or the stagehand gave the answer away!
I'm guessing they changed the rule because in Password Plus, a celebrity could intentionally give an illegal clue in order for a contestant to win with a jackpot reduction. In Super Password, it's a forced end game loss.
You should have kept running the episode clip the one with Vicky Lawrence infamous clue for "Erect" because the next clue, "Poles", was even more hilarious because of the way they were both taken way out of context to the actual puzzle, "Tent". Thanks for the upload, though.
Gary Collins was a fair Super Password pkayer but he didn't do so hot in the bonus rounds. In yesterday's Boxing Day marathon, he blew $20,000 for a contestant by giving "18th Century" for "Casanova".
If it's in a dictionary, it's admissable. I don't know what dictionary was used here, but I *do* know that then-work-in-progress World Book Encyclopedia Dictionary's editor, Dr. Reason A. Goodwin, was one of the word authorities that judged clues on the original Password.
0:12 Yeah, I can tell she got it but she was sad because it was after he gave an illegal clue :( 0:26 if it was Pat Sajak who did that, I would have played the Bankrupt sound from Wheel of Fortune :P
RIP Dick Gautier
Wow, that weekend with Vicky Lawrence and Dick Gautier was eventful.

They bleep out "penis"? Times have changed.

He wanted to say O'HARA, he couldn't say that could he?
I have been looking for that to put in my illegal Password clues.
Oh, Kline! Even though you identified him fine, I was thinking of Richard Kind from "Mad About You" and "Spin City".
So the first clue was "dimwit."
Is it TOM?
4:03 Would "Pittsburgh" be a legal clue for "Pirates"? (as in the baseball team)
Yes.
No perfectly legal clue

Tarheel Fan a part of the body that you really can’t say on daytime tv. At least not on a game show
