Dustin tries to impress Seb the director at an audition for the Fiery Hawk drinks commercial. As seen on Comic Relief's 'Horne and Corden Get Their Clips Out'.
This is the greatest Actor-Audition parody of all time. After 20 years of Auditioning, this really blindsided me and I lost all my faculties when watching it. These Actors are GREAT. "The the Hawk lands just in front of you, and it's wearing red underpants..."
I was at one of these in Spotlight yesterday. "Look down at the table! Yeah, but we've lost your face now!" and then: "Come in, say hello to your friends, say hello to the lady who comes into the shop, say hello to the child with her. Right, that was OK, but you weren't supposed to speak!"
Most ad agencies have a compilation edit of all of the “most humiliating/embarrassing auditions during the year made, and screen it at the Christmas work parties, for the employees entertainment. Fact.
I watched this on E4 and they had me in stitches with this sketch and the police vomit sketch too, the rest were ok , I just hope they keep it up and not all flat like other shows have in the past
(1/2) That phony thing starts much earlier. Klaus Kinski wrote about acting schools: "What they teach in these acting schools is incredible, hair-raising crap. The Actors Studio in America is supposed to be the worst. There the students learn how to be natural - that is, they flop around, pick their noses, scratch their balls. This bullshit is known as "method acting." How can you "teach" someone to be an actor? How can you teach someone how and what to feel and how to express it?
Spot on, and brilliantly executed. The next time I'm made to wait for an hour at Spotlight or the Casting Suite or somewhere for some shitty, buy-out Lithuanian telecoms ad, this will sustain me.
I really wonder why they let us actors do the whole stuff and even call us to a casting, when they know up right in the front, that we dont fit the role?? thats just a waste of money and time for everyone... this is a bit over the top but totally true.. sadly enough :/
If you don't find this funny, you've obviously never been to a commercial casting. Or you've been to too many. They're AWFUL, you have to do all sorts of stupid shit and you hardly ever get the job and if you do happen to get the job invariably they don't bother paying you for months and JESUS CHRIST I WANT A DRINK!

The way they ignore everything he says or just dismiss it with a "yeah" or "really" is pitch perfect.
I haven't laughed like that in a while! absolutely brilliant!
What makes this sketch even funnier is that he likely had to audition for this audition.
Genius observation I didn’t even think of that! 🤣
He is the co creator of the show and did not audition for this part.
Yeah those two are best friends literally @@ihavebeenben
OMG The funniest sketch i've seen in years, absolutely brilliant. Great Directoral role!
I'M ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED.... ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY AND EVERYONE IN EVERY FRAME IS SPOT ON.
All commercial auditions are the exact same, super funny 😂
Brilliant but oh so horribly familiar! I've endured scenarios like this for 36 years!
LITERALLY floating up in the air! lol
All the coffee on the table is a nice touch indicating they are tired and bored

Bastards!
omg, I'm so glad I've never had the desire to become an actor.
GENIUS

That was um. That was.
Interesting.
Anyone know where the director got that cardigan?
Yep.

"A bit too Jewish looking" XD
Why Kristy? WHY?!
@Kutittaa
To find thats funny you need something... it's called "humor". Obvisiously not everyone has it...
@RJude4ever "Bit too Jewish-looking"
