Just really getting into drones ,so watching alot vids on youtube . Your reviews are the best I have come across. Clear to the point ,with all the info I need . Thanks.
Jack can you review the xiaomi funsnap diva drone? I think it's an interesting drone for it's price with video quality that rivals that of DJI's with a price tag 30% lower than the DJI mini
I have the previous version of this (still called pro) it only has a single axis camera. The camera is junk and the range is only about 25 meters but it flies steady strong and pretty fast for what it is. And it's fairly tough. I crashed it about a dozen times and finally one of the motors is showing instability.
@@BendApparatus The previous model is the SG108. Without the Pro. The FPV range can very very short. But some people got 500 meters or more. Not me. As for the camera, well the drone shakes too much. The camera itself isn't that bad. But you need a good stable flying drone for it to be sharp. And yes the SG108 flies great. Strong GPS. I never crashed it.
@@driewiel I meant the previous version of this model line. The llz sg107pro...same exact drone body. But it looks like the 108 got all new internals... because the 107's camera would quit at less than 200 feet and the drone itself couldn't make it to 300... But like I said. Strong gps lock, good compass, gyro and actual functional optical flow...
@@BendApparatus SG107 looks almost the same. Not sure the type of plastic is also as tough as the SG108? I have both the SG108 and SG108 Pro. The SG108 Pro was my favorite drone flying manually from my bike. Very easy to control. But I broke the gimbal somehow in my pannier. Gimbal guards all suck. That is why I would like a cheap drone with only EIS. Although the pictures of the SG108 are actually better then the Pro version. Only it doesn't have an SD card. Riding a bike with while staring at the phone screen doesn't work.
There's a newer sg108 pro now, It's called the "Yan 3" and it has a obstacle avoidance system, I want to know if it's better than the k911. Nobody reviewed it yet, its pretty new.
Same as SG108 Max probably. I may be wrong, but it looks like they removed the sd-card slot as well as the 2-axis gimbal! That would be a definite NO for me. The Pro version (Yan 2)does have an sd-card slot and 2-axis gimbal.
@@HalfChrome I damaged the gimbal on my SG108 Pro somehow during transport. But I liked it a lot more than my S188 or F11 4k that have much better video. SG108 Pro is just a fun small drone that flies great and has really solid GPS. The type of drone you easily grab and use often. Unfortunately prices have gone up. But I can still recommend it for under €150. Because video quality isn't everything. For me the video quality is enough.
I think considering all the pro video and photo capabilities of Dji mini, this drone is great for casual flyers. Most will disagree but i also think dji mini and mini 2 a pro drone.I mean unless you are a content creator who needs 4k, better smart features, perfect stability. If you want to post your footage to instagram from time to time and also wanna have fun flying this is a perfect drone.Instagram crops the video quality anyways.Dji must make a model for around 250 or 200 for casual users.
I found out that it does recognize a 64gb card. But on both 64gb and 32gb the video stutters. At least on those I have. 16gb works best. Which is OK as the files are not as big as true 4k. So what's the use of a larger capacity card?
The ZLRC SG108 4K was my first drone. Not sure why they called it a 4k because it wasn't but it was a good trainer drone as long as I didn't go too far out. The price was right for a decent trainer drone. Worth noting is I made the mistake of letting my SUV get between me and the drone. It lost connection and flew into the ground so I would make sure nothing is between the pilot and drone; especially anything metal. Good honest review Jack .
just won one on ebay for £50 looks new with bag n 2bats..havent flown properly yet.. when u flew urs did u hav 5g phone..or would a 5g phone get longer fpv range do u know.? cheers
May be that thinking the laws here if stopped some will just take it for what it’s printed as vs actually weighing it. Hell I give them props for the possible though of evading law
I believe it's the non-pro version which weighs 248g. The difference is not only the battery though. The pro also has the 2 axis gimbal and an sd-card slot. Not sure if the pro version with the 2200mAh battery will go below 250g.
@@jormol yes version pro Major 249 grams Is not only battery.Unfortunately this problem of Weight Is not possible resolve.thanks.I buy hubsan zino mini pro and Is a big one now!👍
@@HalfChrome True. Is there anything you would recommend as a backup to the mavic mini? I was thinking about ordering this one. Not to do professional footage , just to have fun. I'm on a really tight budget and don't want anything more than 140 dollars. Thank you for your time. 😀
249G being stamped on the drone is still good, 99% of cops trying to pull you for flying will swallow the bald faced lies i tell them while pointing out 249G LOL
I think I will stay away from this one. I have a Mavic Pro but I won't be able to fly it legally soon so I am going to wait for the DJI mini 3. This drone you are talking about is more than 250g so it is of no use to me.
@@HalfChrome Any idea about the weight difference between the Pro's 3000mAh battery vs the non-pro's 2200mAh battery? Could be that with the non-pro battery you would actually end up

@@HalfChrome Idiots crying about the video being a bit shaky. Let me tell you, two years ago a drone like this would have been impossible for this price. They all think they are working for National Geographic. Besides Mike Brach, where are your videos? Show us what great drones you have and which amazing video you managed to capture. That's what UA-cam is for! BTW I just got my SG108 Pro delivered. But it doesn't have the 249g on it! Ah well when it flies it is lighter or it wouldn't fly now would it?

Glad to help
Thanks for great information about this drone. Looks like great next step drone for me.
Yet another awesome video my friend!
I wonder if you can lift gopro with it. Have you tested that?
I haven’t. It probably could but would negatively affect flight performance. A naked gopro would be fine though.
This is perfect drone👍
Tello ot this drone what is your recommeded
@ 1:00 Instantly notices the tilted gimbal
Is this better than x2 pro 3? In terms of pix and vid.
Advantage of x2pro3 is the 3axis gimbal. But can u confirm which lix & vids is better?
X2 Pro 3 does not have an SD card slot. Get the SG108 Pro. Be careful it is indeed the Pro and not the SG108 without 2-axis gimbal.

Lol 249 goodness points! Love that, too funny but very misleading.
problem with the weight maybe because they upgraded the battery from 2200mah to 3000😅
Thank you Jack! Interesting!

I think the reason it says 249 grams, is because of the SG108 normal model, because that one is under 250g.

Maybe it's the G loading that will break it when it crashes?
Probably 249g without battery
178g without battery
The gimbal I see shaking to the side its Perfect

I don't understand why people are complaining so much about the hardly shaky video. Just think how shaky it WOULD be without a gimbal at ALL.
True. But what is the video useable for?
@@HalfChrome: Touche. It wouldn't be usable for professional footage like a Mavic mini, but, like you said it would be good for practice footage
