Suitcase Chomp was badly designed, yes... Kinda... I mean, it's still a marvel of engineering, because that's how Zoe Stephenson rolls, but it's the victim of an oversight that wasn't Zoe's fault, it was the producers'. See, all of the builders were told that the floors were metal, so most of the teams decided to use magnets to stabilize their bots, even Bite Force did that. But what they _weren't_ told is that the floors weren't going to be repaired beyond major, obvious damage, essentially making the magnets useless - as a result, Chomp had no bottom weight to counteract the top-heavy bot, because Zoe was relying on the magnets, and didn't find out otherwise until it was too late.
The only good hit chomp ever did, pure fluke and still only just scraped through. I still think Bite Force was ahead on aggression and control. Chomp spent most of the fight on its side flailing. If Bite Force didn't get stuck on its own chain, it might have won. But the judges always favoured chomp as it was a battlebot favourite child of the producers..
Oh boy..... I can already feel the incoming tsunami of angry anti-Chomp fanboys ranting about how this was the worst decision in the history of forever....
Not really, should have been a draw imo. They judge on aggression, strategy, damage and control. Aggression and control went to BF but Chomp breaking the chain looks really good to the judges in regards to strategy and damage. That’s what happens when we leave it to the judges 🥊
There’s a few BiteForce fan boys.. But more to the point, there’s definitely a lot of Chomp-Hater fan boys. It’s not even close to my favourite robot, but I don’t hate on things just because other internet bros like to soothe their fragile egos by picking on something.
Biteforce didn't manage to do any good attack, most of the the fight ramp toward chomp, while chomo manage to do few good attack and good damaged to biteforce. I think.
you should be happy about Chomp, One of their few wins on their career. Especially it's against a champion and funny enough BF used to be named Chompy but they discovered Chomp existed so they renamed it Biteforce
A really powerful pneumatic hammer that is automatically aimed and fired, the walker version is even more of an engineering marvel with its pneumatic walker chassis

Seems like a no brainer for me. Bite force did no visible damage let alone weopon damage, and took considerable damage from Chomp.
