Bro was literally the King of Fire Hell and perhaps the strongest Fire Demon ever. And they just made him the first boss. Hell, even when Dante kills him later on, he didn’t even turn Berial into a fire sword, definitely would’ve been better than Balrog

Tbh I think V Nero has development from losing his powers and what made him himself (Devil Bringer) to discovering who his father is if they make another game I hope they build on Nero dealing with knowing his parental family as he takes the mantle of the Human World's protector, maybe in future games they can bring back Mundus for a final battle where Nero avenges Vergil's corruption by gaining the strength to kill Mundus for good
