I just married a Filipina last month from a southern province of Luzon. This video captures the hospitable nature of the Filipino people and the reason I decided to marry a Filipina. I had to return to work after our wedding and have only been out of the Philippines for a few weeks, and I am already homesick.
The excitement of those kids getting to interact with you is infectious. It constantly astounds me how people with little are the happiest. A leason for all of us.

All Filipinos know how to speak English, even if it is broken English. Filipinos are exposed to different dialects that's why they learn easily to speak English or any languages
Learning foreign languages is very important. However, preserving own language is more important. I know (some well, some beginning level) 7 languages, however I still pay utmost attention to speak and write my mother language flawlessly. Pinoys are not paying enough attention to their mother languages (Tagalog and local languages). I always explain to my Pinoy friends and future relatives the importance of Tagalog and other local languages. The language is the core of a culture. Once it is gone, the bridge between the past and the future is destroyed. Written language seems like English in Pilipinas now. In my opinion this is very wrong. Pinoys must be proud of their lnaguages.
