flux core is also used in welding steel thicker than 1/4" because of the penetration that short arc MIG cant produce

i would love to see how well it welds gas/hardwire at 110 if it does good id buy it but flux core isn't very strong that and i have one and would rather gas so i don't have to clean slag and get better looking welds i can get a decent bead with flux but not a good one

I have since tried it with gas and solid core @110V. It kept popping a 15am breaker and I couldn’t use it for more than 1 min. Soon I will upgrade the shop for 220V and make another video.

      Are flux core welds strong?
"Besides the ability to work in the field, flux-cored arc welding is known for its excellent penetration and strength. That's why it is commonly used in welding structural steel, bridge construction, and heavy equipment repair."

@@ericarachel55 I used flux core for structural 10 ton but hardwire takes less cleaning afterwards so you can lay beads down faster and won’t have problems with junk so I prefer solid but have used it all
