Don't feel useless. You at still contributing in a helpful way. The arranger would have asked for Solo flute if they wanted it. They didn't. They wanted a section sound. A prodigy, no matter how good they are, can't sound like a flute section. :) If you can, use the opportunity to ask questions like helping you with that tricky rhythm or if they can help you with tuning and tell you if certain notes are a bit out. It's hard to get over our pride but well worth it if by asking we get some help. Keep going, you can only get better!
@@cappy6436 there is no way a 4th grade band is playing this. I was on recorders in 4th grade. I played this in 8th grade with the high school band and I struggled.
