I was abused by my ex husband for 7 years . he tried to kill me several times . he put a knife to my throat . I had several black eyes , bruised tailbone, bruised ribs, 6 miscarriages. tried to kill myself 2 times but daughter walked in on me while I sliced my wrist. I have been a Christian since I was 12 . I thought God left me during this time but he was there and he was always there. I left my ex and have been happy ever since. I have a 12 year old daughter and got a good job. thank you Jesus

I'm not a woman, but I've done alot of these things. I was bulled my whole life and my freshman year of high school i didnt care about school the only reason why i went was for football. Then a week before my 16th birthday my mom and dad finalized their divorce and from there my life literately went down hill. I started to shoplift and got caught at Walmart on Superbowl Sunday 2009 I got lucky, because i only had to take a forgiveness class that made me not shoplift anymore. After that happened I slowly started to develop Depression and Suicidal thoughts. By the time i was 17 I knew about God I knew about Jesus and how he died for me, but I didnt know Him so I didn't know about immoral sexual acts so I lost my virginity the summer between my Junior and Senior years. My Senior year of high school Depression was up and down and I started pushing my mom(shes like my best friend now) and my siblings away I hated my dad and I had a girlfriend that to me didnt care about me anymore. I didnt care about life anymore so I listened to the thoughts about suicide and everyday it got worse and I didnt want to play football anymore and I lost scholarships for different colleges and universities, and when I graduated high school I was happy but I still didnt care. Between graduation to my 19th birthday my girlfriend at the time didn't love me anymore my life was getting worse I didnt have a job, I didnt know what I was going in my life and the family that still loved me didnt see me because I didnt want to socialize and I didnt care. So on March 10, 2012 I sat up on my ex girlfriend's bed while she was in the shower and I took an iPod cord and I wrapped it around my neck and squeezed and 2 minutes in I heard "Do not do this child." I ignored it and it felt like 4 minutes but I know it was only 4 seconds I felt my arms loosening and i threw the cord and I felt real true love wrap around me and the wall break down and my stone heart turn to liquid. I heard in my ear "Child why are you doing this? I love you and I have more for you to do you want to know me but you're not letting me in I am your savior your king your friend." From that day on I have only had 4 breakdowns and everytime He lifted me up. I went through a program called Men Alive(broke my ankle while doing it) through a non profit organization called Church Community Services. I have a job now and God called me to Pastoral Evangelism I have my learner permit for driving and I plan to go to college in a year. I'm far from perfect, but I know He knows my name, because I am a child of the one TRUE King!

this song hits home I was sexually abused when I was a young child not by one person but by 3. I hid it I never told a soul until I was 18 i was a cutter I was promiscuous a alcoholic and drug addict . when I was 18 i oded and when I was unconscious I felt God holding me saying he has a purpose for me. 6 years later I had my first child whom is a miracle she was born blue 2 years later I gave birth to my son and left my abusive marriage. I am now clean and sober for 12 years. only through God's amazing love and grace am I alive.

Saman Mahjoob I was 27 years old when I became a Christian. My sins came into full light. I was going through a marriage separation and eventual divorce. As soon as I was saved (i.e, born again, i.e a believer in Jesus, i.e.. became a Christian), I said I was going to read the Bible cover to cover for the first time. It took 2 to 3 months. There are many Christian radio stations with Bible teaching also. Check out Dawson McCalister who has a weekly call in show for teenagers. He's probably on the internet in a podcast. This video really touched my heart. I have been feeling ashamed of my past for so long, but seeing this brave ladies sharing their testimony made me realize that I shouldn't hide my own testimony from others out of shame but I should share it because it shows the power, grace, and love of God.

One tends to think that God forgets us when we walk astray, when in fact He never lets go of us. This song hits home....
I love this song!! And the video is great to go with it!! Growing up I never felt good enough for anything or anyone. I sought attention from guys thinking that that would make feel good enough, pretty enough. And when it didn't, I thought it was God punishing me. I struggled with depression and self harm for several years. I thought God had abandoned me because I would pray for healing but I'd never see it happen instantly. So I thought that since God didn't love me, why should I love Him? So I walked away from Him. I decided that it would be better to turn my back on God and ignore Him than be constantly disappointed by Him. Needless to say that that didn't work. That didn't make me happy, and it most definitely didn't heal me. Once I finally understood that God loves me and has always been there, watching me and guiding me, is when I started to heal. I wish it didn't take what it did for me to realize that though. I had planned on ending it all that day, but before I could let go of the wheel God saved me. As strange as it may be, He gave me a vision of two small children and when that vision left my eyes, I was in my driveway. I knew that it was God saving me. So I made the decision to try to repay Him for doing that. I know that I could never repay God for what He did for me, but that doesn't stop me from living my life for Him. A life that HE saved wasn't going to be wasted if I could help it. I've since learned that it doesn't matter what others think. I may never be good enough, or pretty enough or thin enough, but as long as God loves me... that's all that matters!

I cry every time I watch this video. No I am not a girl but I've been through so much of the same and similar things that these beautiful women have gone through. I have felt so much that I am unworthy and I have been so ashamed of who I have become at times. I have self harmed, I have so many unpure thoughts, and I have made so many mistakes. Sometimes I don't even know if God loves me anymore and sometimes I feel like he will never forgive me. I have made so many mistakes and I really hope God will forgive me. Like one of the girls said in this video when I was younger I felt so close to God. I really hope God forgives me because I know He Knows My Name and even though I have had such a hard childhood I have felt God's love before so I know he is there.

The one thing I love about this song/video is that song needs to be ministry put to music. The fact that Francesca put stories behind this song is beautiful. Of course this song means something different to everyone, but the one thing remains is that no matter where in life God has placed you or whatever situation(s) you have encountered in life, He IS the creator of all things and He knows you on the most personal level and we never need to worry about making a name for yourself here on Earth unless its for His glory. Francesca used amazing examples in this video and I feel its necessary in this situation because so many people in this world go through the same thing and if it wasnt for these stories in this song, those people might not have that hope that these women did. I was in that exact same situation a few months ago. But I put my trust into God and he got me through it! And he will get you through it as well!
I don't know where you are at this time in your life because I just came across your comment but no matter what you are going through, pray about it and read the bible because it will help you so much as far as delivering you from cutting. That is bondage that the enemy wants to keep you in. The bible says that satan, the theif came to kill, to steal and to destroy. He wants to defeat and destroy you. The only way you can overcome is by giving your life fully to Jesus if you haven't done so. But if you have you need to pray and read the bible. When you pray ask Jesus to deliver you from evil especially the cutting in Jesus name. He came to give life and set the captives free. Philippians 4:6-8 says be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication. He loves you so much that he died and sacrificed his life for you on a cross. We cannot just know about him, we need to have a relationship with him. Matthew 11:28 says come ye all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Phillippians 4:7 says the peace which surpasses all understanding , will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. I encourage you to get an NIV bible so that it will be easy to understand. Begin to read it and it will change your life!!! God Bless

All of these stories sound exactly like the things I went through as a child, I was raised by a mostly women household and I am starting to see God Is right here by my side I am gonna start sharing my testimony, I am currently 4 months clean and in a faith based program🥰I feel so loved by God
this has helped me gather the courage to stand against my abusive parents and the bullies at my school im thinking about going to church because i have seen a vision of God i remember the exact words that He said everything will be ok and that He will protect me :) ill never forget that one life changing dream of Him I shall serve Him and Him only I have learned to fight back from the bullies and forgive them for what they have done

Sometimes I get really shy too. I would definitely encourage you in those moments to send up a little prayer to God. You could say something like " hey God, I'm feeling a little shy right now but I pray for courage in this situation". And/or you could repeat this verse in Isaiah, 40:31 says ' but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not go weary, they will walk and not be faint'. :) im saved and now more powerful than ever so i use it to help the bullied people i use to just run on my anger but now it is happiness and i always carry my Bible around even though I do get in fights every now and then with bullys its always going to be for the good of humanity and i have actually became friends with a few of them and we play video games together and the best part is they're actually just like me with abusive parents so all they pretty much ever known is to fight but now i got them saved :D i hope this helps other people across the globe like you guys have helped me

I've been going through a lot of physical arm pains the past year, but anytime I'm getting down I look to the Lord. He has my name in his Book of names, and reserved spot in Heaven just for me. I also find comfort in knowing even if I was the only person in the world, God would have still sent his only son Jesus to die for me.

When I was 16, I downed enough anti depressants to kill me. The Lord saw to it I was found and my stomach pumped. I am a 51 year old grandmother now who has had victory in Jesus over depression since the attempted suicide. I so feel for you and others battling depression. My life is living proof THERE IS A GOD.
