Her English sounds like she may have moved to an English-speaking country as a child or may have attended British or American school in Taiwan, but I could be wrong. I am unsure about Taiwan, but in Hong Kong they still widely use English as an official language. Please don’t feel bad if your speaking skill is not at this level. I took the test 4 years ago before I enrolled in a university course, and back then my overall score was 7, with 7 in Speaking. Two months ago, I had to redo it to obtain the professional registration and my overall score increased to 8, with 8 in Speaking. I even briefly stopped speaking in section 2 because I felt like I run out of ideas, which may have affected my fluency score. Also, I have an accent which I never tried to get rid off. Remember, we can learn and progress every day by making continuous efforts. Another thing, Ielts is hard, even for a native speaker, heard this firsthand.

Thank you for making all these videos. Took test on 14th, and got results today. L = 8.5, R = 9, W = 7, S = 7, Overall: 8. Didn't study much, only 7 days of practice for IELTS. I just followed your 'all in one' videos for all the modules and took only 3 practice tests from cambridge. I was nervous about speaking, so practiced lots of speaking topics with my friend for 3-4 days, approx 2 hours per day. And I used your mantra: Don't overdo tests, instead try to find out your weaknesses and focus on improving them. Did that only. I practiced only 3 writings, because I felt that I know what to write against a given topic, thanks to your video about 'the writing format', and all my writing outputs were of a similar band score. No matter how much I write, I cannot get more band score than what I am getting, because that's my general writing level. I really didn't try to use idioms or hard phrases or uncommon words. I wrote naturally. Mainly I targeted L and R, I knew these are with me, if I can score well here, it will save me... and that happened. Thank you again, from India. :)
@@KingLeon-gp4ph I have a habit of reading. I read daily english newspapers for the past 7-8 years. I also enjoy reading news articles online (rather than watching videos, I prefer reading). So, I developed a reading habit over time. I also have to read scientific journals regularly for my masters work. I don't read english story books though. You have to read a lot (really a lot) over a considerable amount of time to be able to get quick in reading. For me, I have to search scientific journals abstracts to find pieces of important information. So, it made my reading very fast and meticulous.

All I did was, listened to your youtube videos and practised using the free online mock tests in British Council website. I didn't know what IELTS was before this video and it popped up in my feed after watching a lot of AI videos so I thought this was aid voice for exactly this reason, the simplicity yet confidence
not only did she speak a perfect english, I can resonate to a different level with what she said the whole time! She sounded like a first-born daughter in an Asian household who was trying to get rid of childhood trauma by becoming this independent woman she was surely fit to be. Just like me. I had my speaking exam today and i think i did quite well. I was fluent for almost the whole length of the test, except maybe a few times when i took pauses just to think of the proper word. I bumped into this yt channel while I was going through the wall ,since then I started to prepare for my Ielts journey. In Lis test, i had to deal with a difficult map but thanks to ur instruction, i done well and got 7.5 (actually lower than i expected =))). I stuggled with write and speak most. In test day, I did exactly the same as what u say. If you are confident to speak English and try to speak English rather than your first language after you go to other countries. Yes, they could be English speaker after few years because they will forget their first language depends on how young they move to other countries.

It's good to have interest, calmness and a very particular, a good conversation between the examiners and student rather than having a whole lot of questions like 20-25 so to act like having a good conversation. It will make students nervous, anxious to find out the content and it feels like we're running out of time. Most of the Examiners do the same.

Actually her responses are simple, but she have a good comfort level and flawlessly fluent.

I had my speaking exam today and i think i did quite well. I was fluent for almost the whole length of the test, except maybe a few times when i took pauses just to think of the proper word. This was my first time giving an IELTS exam and i pretty much binge watched all your videos and they really helped me alot. thanks for making such informative and easy to understand guides. Hopefully I'll get a good band.

Lis: 7.5, Read: 9.0, Write: 7.0, Speak: 6.0. Overall: 7.5
All your videos help me a lot, in all skills. In Lis test, i had to deal with a difficult map but thanks to ur instruction, i done well and got 7.5 (actually lower than i expected =))).
I stuggled with write and speak most. In test day, I did exactly the same as what u say. Just simplify everything and remember what the examiners want from me. 7.0 write and 6.0 are higher than my expectation 🙀🙀🙀
I really appreciate ur work and i believe that u will help more students in the future.
In the future, when I graduate from university, I will take Ielts test again and i will definately choose Ielts Advantage ❤❤❤❤

Before I discovered your UA-cam channel, I joined several IELTS classes and didn't really get the main point of IELTS itself, therefore I felt confused and discouraged, thinking that I'd never get an overall 7+. After I discovered your channel, my eyes were wide open, I watched every single video you posted and also diligently read most of your online articles (mainly the writing section). It's good to have interest, calmness and a very particular, a good conversation between the examiners and student rather than having a whole lot of questions like 20-25 so to act like having a good conversation. It will make students nervous, anxious to find out the content and it feels like we're running out of time. Most of the Examiners do the same.
