It's so fascinating that you build a whole energy tracker to know, when your best times and days are. Right now I am at a point of my life where I feel like this isn't necessary but I still noted it down because I feel that this could be a wall anyone could run into at one point in their life. Tagging tasks with energy levels has already helped me a lot to get my priorities sorted, so maybe this is going to be my life savior at some point too!
One of the best videos I've watched... what a great idea to implement... I advice adding a reminder to your phone to remind you to enter the energy level all day... 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Omg one of the most relatable videos I’ve seen!! I’ve recently found notion and have been binging on all your videos and templates, and took advantage of your Black Friday deal too! I absolutely love your build with me series and you are so easy to follow and listen to. I hope you do some more videos I am throughly enjoying the process of setting up my dashboard and databases with your guidance. ❤
Thank you, I am definitely more productive early morning and much less so in the late afternoon. I think I need a siesta scheduled in each day as when I have a short nap, my energy goes back up again. We just tend to keep going without much thought don’t we?
I think it's wonderful to shift our thinking and not feel guilty for not always just "pushing through". If you can schedule in a siesta and it boots your ability to work through the rest of the day, I am ALLL for that! :) Downtime really does wonders. :)
This is exactly the frame of mind that I need. Thank you!!! I think I first heard you speak at the Get Organized HQ event 1-2 yrs ago. Your message resonates w/ me because I struggle with chronic fatigue. No diagnosis yet even though I've done many medical tests. I'm more hopeful now that I can use my peak-energy times wisely and be self-compassionate when I'm lower energy. Thanks for the Notion template to help me decipher my own energy patterns!
Thank you so much for this video❤ My energy levels are generally lower than most people and I deal with the comparison issue. I'm definitely going to give this a try.
Once again , another great and useful video!! thank you for the time and effort you put into these awesome Notion templates you so freely share! All The Best!
I love everything about this video. Not every time management guru talks about energy and I find, the older I get, that energy is the biggest consideration in terms of getting things done. Thank you for sharing this. Very helpful !! Is there any other way to share the template than through Notion? I don't want another app to download, I'd just like a word type template. Is that possible? Thanks!!
Yes! This is something I wish more people talked about. I'm so glad the topic resonated with you! I haven't created the template outside of Notion yet and completely understand not wanting to download another app that you might not use in the future. This wouldn't be as automated, but you could easily create a table inside an Excel spreadsheet with one day per column and then down the left side would be your two-hour time blocks. Inside each cell, you could add your energy level for that time. Then you could do a simple formula to average out each time block to see your peak energy hours. That should work!
Great content, Kalyn! I'm curious, how did you create a Select property that allows the use of multiple icons? Your Energy selector 1, 2, or 3 icons. I'm looking to do something similar, but so far haven't been able to figure that one out. Thanks!
If I'm understanding your question correctly, I just pull up the emoji dashboard (CMD + CTRL + SPACE) on a Mac and copy/paste the emojis as property options!
Really enjoyed this, thanks! I tried to sign up to download the template, but adding my info and clicking on "send it to me" doesn't work. Nothing happens. :(
Oh no! Can you let me know what browser/device you tried it on? I just tested it with a different email address on desktop (Chrome) and it worked. But this happened to someone else too, so I'd love to pinpoint the problem if you don't mind sharing!
@@KalynBrookeCoI figured out what was happening. I use a VPN, and whichever email service you're using (Convertkit, for example) doesn't want to accept sign ups from VPN for some reason. When I turned it off (which I don't like doing), it went through. So all sorted, thanks. :)

Comparison is such a hard trap to climb out of. That's something I'm really working on myself this year! So glad this resonated with you. 🤍

@@KalynBrookeCo yeah, I realized I was over complicating it and that this was a simple copy/paste job. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
Great Video, something interesting to think about, thanks, and where can we get the tracker, thanks😎
Here you go! I wrote out the entire description with all the links and then lost it. 🤪 kalynbrooke.com/energy-tracker-opt-in/
I don't see the link in the description. I'd love to use this even though I'm not a fan yet of Notion.
So sorry about that! UA-cam ate all my links and I just added them again. 🫣 Here you go! kalynbrooke.com/energy-tracker-opt-in/

Question! Ive tracked an entire 2 weeks and i wanna access my entires for the 2 weeks, where do i see that from?
Hi! If you look under the Quick Links box, there's a page called Journal Entries, and you can find these there!
@@KalynBrookeCo Thank you so much!
Where’s the link for the motion template?
