This series was the best thing that ever happened to tv ever. It has no flaws whatsoever and I suppose the reason why we have never had a sequel is because it was so good that it could be replicated It is the ultimate Better Than Peaky Blinders in so many ways
Only Tom Hardy could make "You will form an orderly line" the most intimidating sentence ever. Delaney is the one who owes all those people a bunch of money, yet with a few calm words he terrifies the entire angry mob into silent compliance. Goddamn what a great character and actor.
Outstanding work from teriffic team. Hardy is focused and grimly haunting.Excellent story and writing is high on my list of favorites. So many wonderful sets and perfectly thought out. Can't wait for season 2. This one was somewhere unknown to all of us yet so powerful. Nothing I've read gives such mysterious haunting to excell in the sheer will and realism of the true times..First season was a powder keg. congrats. Randie
Definitely, Europeans bathed maybe 1 or 2 a year if they’re rich. Honestly the peasants were probably cleaner cuz they used natural springs and lakes to bath in while the rich did so in a bucket
Tomy Hardy's most intense performance in any work he has ever done here. He just commands everything in every scene. He is great in other stuff, but none of that is close to this level of just becoming someone else who is weird, scary, deep, wtf , its downright badarse acting. they did not do anymore after this cos it was undoable.
I can't wait to see the season two, but I am also afraid that it may not be as good as the first season. How could it be? First season was just so great. I guess I just don't want it to be any less good than the first season and seeing the series to be spoiled. Please make it as adventurous of their journey to the new world as it has been so far.
