The skill required to do this character is incredible. They used to throw this on the telly for about 2 minutes a week or something. Paul Whitehouse is an amazing comedian
Whitehouse does such brilliantly accurate accents. His Amsterdam police officer has Dutch people genuinely believe he's real. His Geordie is excellent and so many Southerners are woefully off the mark at nailing it, they often end up Welsh or Pakistani
Aaah sh**t xD this reminded me of a time I was on holiday in Tenerife. We had communal swimming pools by our villa. One evening a guy jumps into an empty pool and the cleaner whom was sweeping around the pool, shout out to the guy in Spanish, the guy in the pool respond in fluent Spanish but with a full on Geordie accent. The funniest thing I’ve ever heard.
Paul Whitehouse...so utterly and completely underrated. This guy should’ve featured in more British films and I sincerely hope it happens. His acting versatility and ability is incredible and vast. Even Mr Depp stated him the best and he is.
@DnB and Psy Production No. It was a fake retrospective documentary, hosted by the culture presenter Melyn Bragg, about an ageing retired actor.
