One of the things I do like about 'John 5' is - in almost every interview he gives he openly states the guitar icons who've influenced him, obviously EVH has, Ace has, and others. Not that often that I have seen many guitarists openly naming the players who've influenced them. Now do I think 5 replacing Mick was good? No. I am old school Crue. But even the great Mick Mars, whom 5 is VERY good mates with gave John his total endorsement. 5 is without a doubt one of 'the' most naturally gifted and versatile guitarists in rock history - his back catalogue of work is sublime. I envy anyone who's seen him live.
Yeah his stage appearance is a bit creepy 😄 I’m sure that’s totally 100% on purpose for his stage persona, as when most of your professional career was spent playing lead guitar 🎸for Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie that kinda comes with the turf 😄. He is without question a phenomenal guitarist Motley Crüe is so incredibly lucky 🍀 to have gotten him in the band. If Mick can’t do 3 year long world tours anymore and understandably so due to his disease , I can’t think of a better guy than John 5 to take his place on stage and the funniest part is I’m sure Mick himself likes John 5 and has no issues at all with that or John himself… I can actually see the 2 of them getting along great they both kick ass on a guitar and are funny laid back dudes!
Not quite the case. He's played with DLR, KD Lang, Rob Zombie, and just finished touring with Motley Crue. You gotta see him if he comes near your town.
He plays with such a variety of styles. Doesn't miss a lick.

The greatest sound to ever come out of a Hefty bag.
I love this guys playing he can play Anything! John 5 rocks and he’s also the most humble dude on the planet 🌎
His stage appearance is creepy but he really seems like a good dude and someone I'd love to be friends with. Good guitarist too, obviously.
