The Messenger
컬렉션을 통해 다양한 메시지를 전한지 올해로 10 년차가 되는 디자이너 이성동은 이번 컬렉션 주제 자체를 "The Messenger, 메신저 혹은 전달자" 로 정하고, 시공간을 초월하여 스토리나 의미를 전달하는 인류의 위대함을 이야기한다. 과거 집배원의 의상에서 영감을 받은 디자인과 전하고자 하는 전쟁의 참혹한 시대상을 그린 룩들, 그리고 어려운 시기를 이겨내고 기억하는 상징으로써 컬렉션을 준비하였으며, 얼킨 고유의 하이앤드한 그런지하고 와일드한 스타일을 친환경 소재를 통해 선보인다. 특히, 2024 F/W 시즌에는 대한민국의 통일부와의 특별한 협업을 통해 컬렉션의 중간 중간 잊혀져가는 것들에 대한 이야기와, 그럼에도 불구하고 우리가 잊어서는 안되는 것들에 대한 이야기를 담담하게 풀어내고 있다.
Designer Lee Seong-dong, who marks the 10th year of delivering various messages through the collection, designates the collection theme itself as "The Messenger, Messenger or Delivery" and talks about the greatness of mankind that conveys stories and meanings beyond time and space. This collection represents designs inspired by old postmen's costumes and looks that represent the harrowing times of war. This is a token of overcoming difficult times, and a symbol of not forgetting. Ulkin introduces this concept through eco-friendly materials with its own sophisticated yet grunge and wild style. In particular, through special collaboration with the Ministry of Unification of the Republic of Korea, stories about things that are forgotten and things that we should never forget are calmly told through fashion.
