I felt exactly like you did in Bali when I went to Ghana as a volunteer. It’s such a dramatic environment change, but such a beneficial wake up call for people!

@@CertifiedYapping304 I’d highly recommended! I personally went out with a local football community group of mine, we helped build parts of schools & also had some time in the classrooms teaching.

I’ve been to a silent retreat in Portugal that was much harsh. 10 days, no talkings, no readings, no phones, 9 hours meditation combined, staff not allowed to talk to us, After 10 days I was a new person. Changed my life!

in Buddhist we called this Atthasila.. practice meditation for a week or more.. no gadget, no talk.. only eat and focus on your mind in meditation.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,572 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
I really do wish I could do something like this. I need to deal with stress and this seems like a great way to do that. But this seems like an incredible experience. Happy you got to experience it.

As far as I am aware, you can have meditation without Hinduism, but you cannot have Hinduism without meditation

Wow, thanks for the video! I’ve been there couple of times and I have to say that it was one of the best times I ever had. Went there after I broke up from a very long relationship and yes the place is a gem! It makes me forget and let go of things I shouldn’t hold on to. And thanks for the video again, it definitely feels like you brought me back to the place again. Love it, subscribed. 🤍

Great Video, when I heard about the idea of a silent retreat, I immediately found it horrific, boring and when I started watching this video, I suddenly became stressed from watching. I just thought about the fact that the whole thing is maybe too chill, and that ur wasting ur time, and there are so many things to do, but the think is u don't always have smth to do, that was when I realized that I never really chilled in my entire life, even when im chilling im somehow stressed, Im suddenly interrupted by thoughts or in the back of my brain im thinking about how I ''waste'' my time. That their is always something to do, forever, even if u finished something. That there will be an appointment in 2 weeks or that you got to ´´have´´an daily routine . Your maybe relaxin, but not chilling, our brain always works, even if we do nothing. For me it felt like, Its a western and modern thing to always watch for the time, the idea and construct of dates.
Now im really lookin forward to also do an silent retreat in the future.
