This song IS hard, just not in the usual way. This was a beautiful rendition.
Yes! You get all of the emotion from this cover whereas you don't get so much of it from the original. Sometimes it's hard just because it hits you in the feels.
Trying to anticipate Falling in Reverse is like trying to predict the weather.
This was emotional in a different way compared to the original. Ronnie can sing, damn!
Ronnie wont copy a cover he reimagines it. This rips at your soul. I think more people can relate to this version. I have seen a lot of reactors that knew the song but never really listenrd to the lyrics. They never knew how deep and sad this song is. This is another Ronnie masterpiece. It nice to see Ronnie maure in his music. I love both versions. There is a video with Ronnie showing it to Jacobly for the first time. Ronnie was so nervous. You should check it out. Great Reaction as always! Much love❤
Everything you said is true and I think he should do a reaction to Ronnie having Jacoby listening to it for the first time, it’s like 5 minutes and 26 seconds, yes Ronnie is nervous but Jacoby was digging it, it’s worth the reaction for sure! Wish it was a bit longer!
as much as I resent Ronnie I couldn't agree more with you on this. he is extremely talented but such a douche
Yeah I love it when reinterpretations focus on upbeat popular songs that actually have really sad lyrics and cover them in a way that highlights the emotions conveyed within the lyrics. Ronnie hit it out of the ballpark with this reinterpretation.
My 2 friends who cried when I showed them this song like I did the first time are real ones 🤘🏻😔
@theredpillneo2296 It still gets me, too, every time I hear it.
Jacoby Shaddix the singer and writer of Last Resort loved it. Theres a video of him and Ronnie listening to the unmixed version. Ronnie was so damn nervous
I love that Ronnie's version really highlights the true nature of the lyrics for Last Resort. So many people have never actually listened to the lyrics of this song and this version makes you have no choice but to listen and feel the depressing nature of it. Both versions are incredible in their own way. If you want to rock, Papa Roach. If you want to cry, Ronnie's.
I totally get what your saying bro😅 im 30 so iI know this song but this version i can sit and really take in the words
What I really appreciate about it. Is how crazy different this song hits when it’s the same lyrics, the OG was that aggressive headbangers vibe… but thanks to Ronnie I actually felt the lyrics. I knew every word to the song but never picked up how dark/sad it is until re-presented in this manner. Gave me goosebumps hearing it the first few times.
I feel like the soft singing almost whispering just adds a different level to the song. Papa Roach made you feel like smashing walls in because of the anger..This cover is a different depth of almost begging and being completely lost and broken..deff a beautiful take on the song
This version makes you focus on just how depressing the actual lyrics are. The original makes you want to dance and rock out. This version makes you want to cry.
@@user-me9in1yu6s Its a mirror image of each of the songs We all go through the anger and pain and then it turns into sadness and sorrow. The first version makes you scream and get angry, the second version makes you reflect on all the poor choices or things that are out of your control. Its what we all go through and it's the reason why both songs compliment eachother. It resonates with people because they basically in their own respective ways put life to paper. Essentially
Real Throwback, when Papa Roach released it, my Psychiatrist made me listen to it. Last Resort got me through a very difficult time in life. Falling in Reverse, damn Ronnie lets this song hit the soul😢. Absolute 🔥
Yo who was your psychiatrist I need that kinda therapy
@timothytapia8636 He definitely is a 1 in a million doc...I was in shock, a really unique way of starting an assessment with a new patient🤣
Mine made me listen to Beautiful by P.O.D
Infest is such a great album! So many good tunes!
@SNAKEKIDD18 About a year back my Psychologist suggested I listen to NF- THE SEARCH...been a fan since. My No.2 favourite Artist. Music with relatable lyrics are for me the best therapy.
This is that music that makes your SOUL headbang.
Reimagined means no hard stuff sorry stevie lol
Not really though. Drug In Me and Popular Monster isn't hard?
@@the_jtek5142popular monster isn't a reimagined song and drug in me is u reimagined doesn't go hard. The end has some screams but that's it
Thanks Brandon (hard as in heavy metal)
I forgot it's 2023 we gotta be literal ( not hard as in badass) hard as in screaming 😱
🤮 In my opinion, this shit sucks! Please note that I am a Falling In Reverse fan, but WTF was that? They picked the wrong song to “reimagine”.
Yessssss. Stevie I have been waiting patiently for this reaction❤
This stands on its own.
It's amazing hearing this stripped back and realizing how vulnerable these lyrics really are. Powerful!
Exactly. So many people got caught up in how rocking the original is and never really sat down to digest the lyrics. This one highlights just how unbelievably sad Last Resort really is. This song hits on an emotional level if you can relate to it.
anytime you see 'reimagined' in a FIR song, it's a ballad and it's fire.
Cut my slice in two pieces, this is my raspberry torte
Goosebumps everytime I hear it
Stevie, you would really enjoy both "Losing My Life" and "Losing My Mind" by Falling in Reverse. Both have some hard ass rap verses, and some catchy choruses.
Would love to see Stevie do the trilogy fr
I like how people have got into Falling in Reverse the last 5 years but wish they'd go back and check out The drug in me is you and Fashionably late albums and tunes. Like Stevie scope out Alone etc that's the first track Ronnie started to do rap stuff into their music. His line up back then was the best and he's the only original member now but man Jacky Vincent was his best guitarist, that dude shreds! Derek was the last original member and passed after his wife passed of leukemia and he went not long after, RIP Derek!!!
Yea no aggressiveness in this. This was meant to wake people up to the actual lyrics and what goes on in a depressed mind
This rendition gives the song the depth that it needs. Def nowhere near the original, but i feel the deep pain there. Geez. Its visceral
I don’t know I think for the lyrics this song makes it more powerful. Now if you’re just looking for a banger then the original one
@@homura_8 You are correct - you said that very well, thank you!!!
This version makes you focus on the very depressing nature of the lyrics whereas the original makes you want to rock out. This one makes you feel.
I like this version more than the original because it actually makes you feel whereas the OG version just makes you mad.
Notice how in the song "Watch the world burn" The entire world was falling over, and it ended with the world burning.
In this song the world was being rebuilt. and the world was fading back together at the end.
Something to think about with those 2 songs being related.
He is crazy talented.
The original is already aggressive and perfect for what it is. I love that Ronnie went a different route.
he killed this! solid take.
Not sure if anyone else felt the same when he sang the part of about loosing his mother. If you know Escape the Fate had "The Day I left the womb" . I know this is a cover not his lyrics but I related the two and it hit a little different for me. Been a Ronnie fan from the beginning!
to be perfectly honest, this is a better version of the song. listening to the lyrics and what they say. and the video makes it even more impactful.
Much love and appreciation from Kentucky ❤️🙏❤️
Deadly beautiful!
It’s crazy how many people are saying they didn’t pick up what they were putting down with the lyrics in this song….people be listening to beats and that’s it
Yesssssssss 🔥🔥🔥
I like how you gave it the respect it deserves even tho you didn't get to rock out. Lol. Really a beautiful arrangement and vocal performance. Look at his revamped, and reimagined original songs and then the og tracks. Also, a total switch. Lol
Love the og. But this is a whole new vibe.
It was sooo gooddd!!! Ronny killed it!! But I was hoping there was gonna be that hard drop at some point as well but it is what it is lol
This is he reimagined version the goal is to bring the lyrics forward and embrace the emotions
Yes!!!!!!!!!! Woke up to get ready for work and opened up youtube and was fkn stoked to see stevies reaction. Boy i been waiting a minute for you to post your reaction.
Oooooo I been waiting for you to post this!
That was actually fire 🔥
Hi❤s music is always a surprise, tho I can feel his pain
Just saw them live in Colorado, they're so good haha. Been a fan since my middle school days
It’s deep and emotional I got goose bumps.. 😢
The song hits so incredibly different with Ronnie's version. In a good way. A stroke of genius ❤
I’ve been waiting for this!
Also what’s wrong with Bud Light lol
You have trans fans too 🏳️⚧️
This song is honestly therapeutic for me..
The most beautiful remake ever!!!!
Stevie I agree I’d love to hear them take this masterpiece of a cover and do it the Ronnie way, breakdowns and all but I also appreciate the respect towards the original lyrics and keeping it simple.
(Still would like to hear a Ronnie take of the harder version like they do)
Good stuff man! Great react
Jacoby wrote this about a homie he grew up with and would chill with and his boy started to get depressed thinking of suicide etc and he didn't know how to really help or what to say to help him so he wrote this song. He felt like this himself like 14 years after this tune came out. Ronnie showed it to Jacoby to see how he dug it and he was so nervous for his approval lol but Jacoby fucking was so stoked about it and it was sick seeing them checking it out together. Infest is such a great album!
I love how Ronnie can make you feel the lyrics! Like legit make you listen and feel how heavy this song really is! Amazing cover by the goat ❤
We need to get Stevie to do the trilogy. If you see this Syecie, its a trio of songs called Losing My Life, Losing my Mind, and Drugs. In that order. If ya get to it and have the time, do all 3 songs in one video. Thanks man
Papa Roach loved FIR cover! The leader singer said it brought on a new emotional level to the song! Love Ronnie and FIR, they can do anything, and you can never assume anything. I love well rounded bands and kill it no matter what, like LP! LP evolved and was iconic! Thank you, Ronnie and FIR,!
Lmao "come on lets get to it"
Damn he really can sing & I feel this In my soul. Damn.
Omg Stevie, I was in the same place as you were. I had to listen to this song at least 10 times and the same with other slow songs of his for them to grow on me. I love them all now but I cant listen to them after just head banging on watch the world burn, zombified etc. ❤
This was so beautiful live
I sent you the video 15 minutes after it dropped on June 26th to your IG messages bc I had just seen your papa roach react and I thought the irony was crazy. For once he tricked you. Lol.. He doesnt always go ham or spaz out.😂😂 Have a great weekend Stevie!
This version fucked me up. The original came out my Junior year in high school. You know it was an angry release for a teenager. This though. At 40 now? Whole new head game. Ronnie is a damn genius.
Papa roach reacted to it , ronnie showed him in the studio . It was already 1000% approved
The freaking RANGE Ronnie has is amazing
Love this version
Finally lol ! Been waiting forever for this one
Pay attention to the ending of that and the then pay attention to the ending of his last one
I think with his reimagined version, he wanted to focus on the symbolism of the lyrics, rather than drown then in music, it makes lots of people cry, i cried multiple times listening to this version, whereas the origional song, I just jammed out and rocked on, this one has so much passion and intensity which truly gives the song justice. Just my opinion on it ^.^
Love this version. From angry teens to emotional adults
i saw that!! I saw you drop it.. Then saw FIR drop theirs I was waiting for ya!!!!
that vampire song remake he did was great too
Ronnie has some f*ckin pipes dude..... jesus.... those lyrics hit more harder than thanos and the infinity stones.... what a vocal performance...not only that but what a perfect video to represent this reimagining.... Ronnie is so under rated...
C’mon, the ”soft shit” is THE shit. That hits me in the feels!
A CERTIFIED BANGER RIGHT HERE!
He did a perfect job with this song❤
Ayo Stevie singing it too was sick haha.
🙌🏻
Love the reaction. I’ve been checking in with you every since your first NF reaction. I apologize I didn’t subscribe back then I didn’t know how this worked. Thank you for all you do and all your content. You are truly bringing people together from all walks of life. Please keep soldering on. Much love Big Dawg!
That actually hard i fw it
This song goes so hard in such a different way. Instead of hitting you in the face and letting rage out it hits you in your feels and amplifies the sadness so many people are feeling these days. A perfect reimagined cover of a great song. Ronnie is a mastermind no matter how much hate he gets.
Cool reaction!this is ten ton hammer.Thank,s for your reaction.💥⚡️💫
Every time Ronnie puts his talents on display for us to see, you can feel him letting a bit of his own personal pain and thoughts free, letting them go into the either. All of us that have painful memories or experiences know that the pain that we keep inside slowly kills us
Yea I was waiting for the beat drop & him to get aggressive & it never happened. I was quite disappointed
I heard that Papa’s version is for the youth while FIR is for the adults that grew up with PR’s OG version. That we are still waiting and still knowing it’s not all right.
The reimagined versions focus more on the lyrics and the meaning behind the song
Excelente handbrake you put in there with the pause 😂
This is the version for people who are suicidal beyond anger.
Watch the world burn is a good song from him it has rap, speed rap and rock all in one
Damn Stevie I’ve been wanting your reaction for so long thinking it was gonna be a different reaction. Still my favorite reaction channel but thought you’d be hype on it
I listened to this the day it was released and I balled like a baby. I don't have any unresolved trauma.
Stevie, low key it was entertaining watching you trying to predict the drop. lol
8:50 BROOO im wearing headphones !!!
No one can predict Ronnie. The FIR gang ALWAY keepin us guessing and never disappoints.
Steve really trying to headbang lmfaoo
Bud light really did light themselves on fire :D
same. it was cool, but I wanted some super hard metal at the end
Drug in me is you reimagined by falling in reverse is worth a listen too
This man is a musical genius
It's a journey, you start slow and build it up...
That moment of realization after the “no love for another” 🤣😂
As soon as i saw this I was like. "Yeah He's gonna make this into another Ballad. Like he did with his own songs."
I assumed Stevie was reacting to the original just the other day in anticipation of the release of the reimagined version because who would randomly react to that twenty year old song the same week it was reimagined by the amazing Ronnie Radke?
By the way, the song was composed and arranged for Ronnie by his boy that arranged the previous reimagined masterpieces, Sean Rooney (I believe that's his name, I'm going off the dome here - correct me if my brain failed me). Shout out to homie, Sean and Ronnie make a great composition team. As always, the video team made another flawless video that sets the bar for the industry and probably didn't sleep for a full week banging out and getting the video pixel perfect in every frame.
These reimagined covers set the bar across the disciplines they contain. Not a single weakness in these releases in my opinion.
Less goo!!! 🎉🎉
🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤
On top of being a beautiful singer, he goes the line between singing and screaming so tightly. That is such a hard technique to master.
Original shared the anger of the lyrics, this shares the sadness
What is the song that he is talking about is not simple at the beginning around 0:19?
