Amazing content! I'm about to do OKTA cert next month to get started. I got the security and compliance foundational cert. Once, thanks for this amazing info🙏🏾
Advice!!? I just got a summer internship with RTX(Raytheon Technologies) as a IAM admin analyst working in Identity management. I graduate with a bachelors in Cybersecurity in august and will be going to graduate school in the fall for MS-Management Information Systems. This is my first job in IT and would love some advice on recommendations to best prepare? I do have compTIA sec + cert and I am familiar with Active directory, Powershell and scripting languages.
They’re going to train you on what they need you to do. If you already know some of their tech stack then you could train on that. I would probably just work on your AD and Azure AD skills and maybe explore some Sailpoint and Okta free content. It really depends on what they are using though. I don’t think they’ll have you touching AD much as an intern because of the risk but you never know. Good luck with your internship.
It depends on the company. If it’s a bigger company then they usually can offer offshore work. It also depends on SLAs. Some clients can’t allow non-US citizens to access certain things.
If you have zero experience in IT and/or cybersecurity, then getting something like Security+ is a better investment, unless the job description specifically asks for those certs.
@@Desperado665 one of the key uses of AI will be to help detect anomalous user behavior faster. I'm not sure what the second part of your question means - "Got a role in AI IAM to help streamline but not fully automate IAM" but if you're asking about open roles at any of my companies, we don't currently have openings.
@@CyberLifeTV thanks! I assume a anomalous behavior can be both by internal employees and external users like customers? What I meant to say is I just landed a job doing Machine learning within the IAM space
@@Desperado665 yes, it should be able to help detect both. I think you’ll see more companies leveraging it for cloud environments because many companies still struggle with cloud IAM even with all the fancy vendor gadgets. - And congrats on the new job.

Thanks for the video. Do US companies give out these roles to offshore job applicants? Thanks

Do you organize live trainings?
Would CIAM or CAM certifications be considered entry level certs?

Is there a lot of opportunity for machine learning to automate processes in IAM?
Yes, AI can be leveraged for IAM, but I don’t think the human component can ever be fully removed because of the inherent risk with AI.
