The second photo with the water gushing in the foreground with the rocks in the background would be class if possible for a sunset shot with a mix of colours and movement
This was a pleasure to watch Jonny👍🏻 The photos were fab and nicely captured the essence of the area I’d like to see that first comp with a long exposure flattening out that water to a glassy finish for something a little abstract. I do enjoy the measured, thoughtful pace and style of your presentation when you’ve photography in mind
Leaving you a comment because you kindly asked. I agree completely about the importance of just photographing the day and it doesnt have to have the purpose to be the greatest shot ever. It's about the journey and creating short stories.
Absolutely LOVE Scotland. And I agree, that really wide image of the single boat with the minimal editing on light blue tones was the show stealer for me. If I had taken that image, I would have totally screwed it up in editing. Yours is perfection!
With a potentially planned trip to Scotland next month, this video made me excited about the sights of landscape I might be seeing! For what it is worth, I enjoy the subtle use of colour in your photos and the minimal "less is more" compositions and photo packages you put together.
Loved that area when we did the NC500 by car stopping off in between B&Bs at different locations along the route. The image of the fishing boat, being harrassed by those gulls the only single picking in a wide open calm bay.🙂
Another fantastic video jonny all photos are great but the boat with all the birds surrounding it is a winner for me 👍🏼I'd laugh with the shot of you walking back to grab the camera, it's the essence of filming on your own 😁
Great video Jonny, you got some good pictures from that location. it looked a bit of a chew on with the dreaded tripod. Personally I'd have thrown it in the sea. Me and the Deerhound are staying at Lockinver in February so it's great to see some of the locations in that area.
Looks like you had a nice coastal adventure Jonny see you on Vero @carlsphotos 👍 I really like how you framed that first comp the right angle of the rock works well with the sea, with that in mind could you have got higher to drop the dark foreground rock left of frame to below the waters horizon? The second one is great that shaft of light on the water is a great leading line👍
Oh no, the infamous Scottish midges, haha! A few years ago when we visited Scotland in late Spring I was really worried about them. But maybe they only come out in Summer? Love the video, as always, love the pace and the storytelling. I'm not a fan of the look of a slow shutter speed when photographing water, but that's just me. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful image you captured.
Live your style of vlogging as I've said before , your editing and photography style is as inspiring as ever this vlog has given me an idea to visit Mewslade Bay at Rhossili. I was on vero a long time ago but left feeling frustrated about the system and followers . Look forward to your next upload 💪
Ullapool is one of my favourite areas on the planet. I love the high key image of the fishing boat surrounded by gulls tells a great story.
It's a such a wonderful place, thank you!

I know right, I’ve been thinking of just making a video of all the shots of me running back to the camera 🤣
