That little dolly that the keels sit on is an ingenious idea. Takes away the problem with not having enough depth to get the boat off the trailer.

Great film. Love the music! Very helpful too. Just acquired a Cornish Shrimper. Keen to get tr right. I have a combi trailer too but mine is meant to be used differently in that the trolley comes off the trailer and has its own tow ball connection for launching so its a two stage maneouvre.

I'm just technically unpicking what we have seen here in fastplay/timelapse; (correct me if I'm wrong)
(1) the Dolly trolley wheel track-ways on the trailer have a hard stop/buffer forward,
(2) but it could jump over them in extremis, so there are webbing straps holding the yacht snug down on the trailer,
(3) the trailer is a break-back to allow the Dolly to ramp down(up) from(onto) the main road trailer.
Looks a brill system.
(4) Perhaps only raises the roadgoing centre of gravity by a measure equal to the axle height of the trolley (say 50-75mm?), so perhaps extra caution required on bends/camber.
Does it have an official name - "Break-back and Dolly"?

No safety chains between tow vehicle and trailer?

not needed in UK - we have a wire that aplies the trailer brakes in the event of a separation - it is suposed to be safer.
