definitely hit the like button as soon as i came in definitely smash the like for sam guys he makes great content all the time wtg sam keep up the great work
Fun fact about the convertible 2000GT, since you don't seem to mention it in the video: It's a VERY special one-of-two conversion that was made just for the James Bond film 'You only live twice', and a soft top was never offered on production models of the car. It's great to see how beautifully it's been preserved.
Love the video and the JDM cars like you said this brought back memories all those rotarys GT Hondas I love it, big tums up to you for making this video.
Loved every second of this video! Is there a calendar of these Japanese auto shows available? I'd love to plan a trip to Japan just to attend 2-3 of these awesome shows!
Loving all the videos you're producing lately man. Keep up the great work! Also, can you talk to shoppers and Shippers to see what new trends might be coming up for the American market, outside of the R34's etc. Maybe some other cars and tends that are being requested?
Here is a fun fact for you ,a company in Taiwan got a hold of the original molds for the Ae86 bumpers from the Toyota factory, they started reproducing them until Toyota got wind , a cease and desist happened, Toyota actually destroyed the original molds after that. This was around mid 2000s they use to cost around $150 new, now you’ll be lucky to find a new one for $500
Me literally waiting for the flee market. "Okay, let's go look at the flee market... oh! Look at this clean car, that is so cool! Oh look at that one over there, that is so cool!....." 🤣🤣👌🏼
26:59 1 of 2 Honda 2000GT convertibles built for Sean Connery to drive in James Bond "You only live twice"!! They chopped the roof off cause he was too tall. Sooooo nice!!! Leno drives that exact car around in Japan lent by Toyota.
27:25 This thing looks like a hybrid between a Lancia Stradale and a Stratos in Group B Trim. Very interesting. The Ferrari 308 was used in Rally but Ferrari just supplied the cars and had no further involvement. Today barely anybody knows that Ferraris once raced in Rally Championships. Im pretty sure this car here is a replica because old Ferrari 308 race cars and rally cars are very rare and finding one with a pristine martini livery.... even harder.
So many beautiful cars it's very difficult to choose one car, after watching many of your video's I've come to one conclusion and that is to experience Japan one has to come to Japan for at least 3 months and if possible work casually more for the experience than the money
God Bless Callum and redesigned the head to flow more, which is important. Before I get raped: the 1JZ head DOES NOT flow better than the 2JZ. It’s a myth that’s been around since the 90’s, and was debunked in the early 2000’a
27:06 Fuji Cabin. Incredibly rare bubblecar. Surviving examples do not touch double digits. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuji_Cabin Behind is a Flying Feather, designed by Yutaka Katayama (think Z). Also quite rare as only 200 examples were produced.
27:00 I think that is the only 2000GT convertible made that was made for Sean Connery to fit in for the James Bond movie, since he was too tall for the coupe :>
Interesting video for sure, don't know if I could pick a favorite car out of everything. The one thing that distracted me for the entire video was that the so cool/very cool count was over 9000. Try to mix up your reactions a bit in the future so its not so repetitive.
wow 13.50 mark an OG "frogfoot" RX7..... now that's a find.... mind you i recall the green being a little deeper / darker but its been like 22 years since i first saw one...
I've been doing a lot of graphic analysis on covid 19 and looks like Japan is on the rise along with South Korea, Singapore and Hongkong. But younger people do much better if infected. Just sucks it seems to be getting serious.
My r31 was a Rb30e. Most reliable engine I've ever had. Constant track days and daily driving for 2 years until I sold it for a r30 turbo sedan. L20et 🤭
It's a little bit about availability of JZs... Because they were revamped and put in like... everything... whereas, the RB not so common... people ripped through the RBs well before JZs were looked at... oil flow consistency being one of the major drawbacks to the JZ... and timing complexity... so, I mean before after market growth... I dunno... its a 50/50... each has its problems... the Nissan twin sequential turbo from stock though... upper hand on the JZ...
Pretty incorrect on the Toyota facts, Yamaha is partly owned by Toyota, they helped develop the 1jz cylinder head, not the 2jz cylinder head or bottom end Nissan in their wisdom designed the single worst oil pump drive setup made from sintered aluminium and put it in their performance engine, they can't even be mentioned in the same sentence.
The rarest car at that show, was the Toyota 2000GT Topless . Only 2 where made for the 1967 James Bond movie You Only Live Twice. Because 6' 2" Sean Connery could not fit in the car.
THANKYOU FOR THE TOUR AROUND THE SHOW.
AMAZING CARS..
CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE
♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍♥️🤍
Oh! That event is way better than I expected. Had seen pics online for years but the scale seems so much bigger. So many amazing cars.
How far away do you live from Sammit? Be neat to see 2 Aussies (from the same area oddly enough) do a video together!
Pete Anderson he’s in or around Tokyo. I’m over in Kyushu. And I did actually meet Sam in Osaka a couple weeks back. There’s a pic on my Instagram.
@@wasabicars cool, will dig into my instagram. Don't use it much though lol!
definitely hit the like button as soon as i came in definitely smash the like for sam guys he makes great content all the time wtg sam keep up the great work
This is amazing Sami. I will travel to Japan sometime,. I love their culture and cars of course.

16:01 *Corona, this thing is sick!*
The Ferrari 308 was actually used in rallying, mostly tarmac events
Sam, you walked by an original Silvia!
And an original Supra
Mizuno works booth was AMAZING, that Yonmeri and Z are STELLAR builds! really out of this world craftsmanship
I was playing with you on your stream today and had a lot of fun! It’s not everyday that you get to play with your favorite youtuber!?
I love long car show vids!! So many beautiful cars 🤤
26:43
I bought a Ca18 off a buddy of mine. And I am going to rebuild it and put it in my Suzuki Swift and make it Rwd.
Sr all the way
put it on a nissan micra k11 1.3 swap :D 5*
@@nightreapers3425 if you van find one here in holland, it will be muchos expensive. And got the ca18 for a very good price, so why not.
@@andrebarros7703 I'd rather use my swift for it, because micra swaps have been done. Not many people would an ca18 in a swift. And I love my swift😂👌🏼
either way, good luck with the project! :D
I come I've said this before but I NEED TO LIVE IN JAPAN. I wanna go to some of these events, Sam your life is my dream🤤

Yo! I love your content bro, thanks for taking the time to make these videos for us!
Ah man, you just glanced over the Soarer and Celsior, old-school Toyotas need some love too dude ;-)
Awesome time capsule! Thanks so much!
Love the video and the JDM cars like you said this brought back memories all those rotarys GT Hondas I love it, big tums up to you for making this video.
The Honda City was rocking Mugen wheels, and the lights on the Hakosuka were old school s.e.v. marchal racing lights!
Great seeing stuff we don't see in the states. Great looking cars!
That tiny white car with the minibike is awesome lol
Loved every second of this video! Is there a calendar of these Japanese auto shows available? I'd love to plan a trip to Japan just to attend 2-3 of these awesome shows!

hi... this event looks amazing... i want to plan a trip... can you provide any details of when this event takes place where and how can i get there..
Me literally waiting for the flee market. "Okay, let's go look at the flee market... oh! Look at this clean car, that is so cool! Oh look at that one over there, that is so cool!....." 🤣🤣👌🏼

Right on time super excited
Far it seems weird not seeing drift baby in your videos now when your in his lol
Much love though bro, Chur 👌
Dude your Aussie bob over there and cruised straight past an rb30 in front of that orange 240 , the only motor we can be proud of having in a Holden 😂
3:26 Toyota’s 2JZ was a complete in-house design by Toyota
They literally just took the 1JZ and made it 3.0L
that is correct; 1JZ was co-developed and then 2J was in-house.
God Bless Callum and redesigned the head to flow more, which is important.
Before I get raped: the 1JZ head DOES NOT flow better than the 2JZ. It’s a myth that’s been around since the 90’s, and was debunked in the early 2000’a
Back in the 80s I had a nissan cherry zx turbo i loved it, Their are only 3 register in the UK today
I drive a 280z and drift and 300zx TT. Love them
36:24 that’s exactly what I’m doing with my truck!!🔥😍🔥

Vlog 573 ! LoL xD
It's sick to see old jdm cars
Tommyfyeah would lose his shit for some of the rarer parts there
He probably loses his shit all the time. He takes it up the butt a lot
The only one that is loosing shit is Sammit in the thumbnail.
Yamaha only made the cylinder heads for Toyota, bottom end is Toyota, as Nissan mainly has bottom end issues, that argument is void
I would love to have a FC RX7 convertible. Idk why but they look so good to me. A cage can fix it up nice
27:00 I think that is the only 2000GT convertible made that was made for Sean Connery to fit in for the James Bond movie, since he was too tall for the coupe :>
dude top video i am old lol so love it
I know there are tons of cool rides, but at 16:20 you passed by those 2 super cool army green Nissan like they were nothing!!
g i think that’s a s2k and stang
In western Australia we call rb30det engines " Dirty Thirties". An insane engine . If done right .
Interesting video for sure, don't know if I could pick a favorite car out of everything. The one thing that distracted me for the entire video was that the so cool/very cool count was over 9000. Try to mix up your reactions a bit in the future so its not so repetitive.

Yo the r100 Luce looked so clean
I saw the MAT Car (Cosmo Sports) from Return Of Ultraman!
It’s at 25:00

I really really want an S15 so bad now. Originally, I wanted the R34 but now hell no. I really want the S15. Love your car!!

Ya missed the 190e Evo but still cool
The RB30 is in a VL Calais Turbo
Nice video all the car looks so cool
My r31 was a Rb30e. Most reliable engine I've ever had. Constant track days and daily driving for 2 years until I sold it for a r30 turbo sedan. L20et 🤭
It's 2021, and I hope to go to events again after the covid restrictions loosen up.
24:35 my dream car besides the four door skyline automatic or two door automatic

Squirrel 🐿!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👊🏼👍🏻
soooo when are we going to the flee market? 😂 "lets go to the flee market" look at this car, look at that car 🤣🤣🤣
Cracks me up every time other countries pronounce "Z" as "Zed" 😂😂😂
At 4:36 those look like old Mugen wheels from the first gen mugen crx.
190 EVO

Was that green one a Cherry as he says "it would be cool if we found a cherry 32.37

1:30 - why not get a convertible? Only rotary car you can get with a drop top! I'd love 1, but getting very rare to find.
nice! love it! great vid!
Carburetor is life!!!
Did they have a Road Pacer there? (Holden Kingswood with a rotary engine)
I saw you in this event sir 😉
Thank you for living the Land of the Rising sun dream for me lol.
That city os sitting on Mugwn wheels. Not sure if you know how rare those are bud! What a cool car. Also not sure if ya can tell im a Honda Fan Boi
will you go on sept 16-17 at Nagoya Nostalgic Car festival?
