There's something so poetic about Vader being unable to wipe away his own tears.
would his damaged eyes even have tear ducts anymore?
He could wipe away the tears with the force 😂
@@Zurroundthey got seared off in the fire.
And his butt to!
Yeah
The more i learn about vader the more i cant help but feel sorry but the more im horrified by the amount of pain hes in.
I would have to agree
I agree
And the more that I grow to hate Obi Wan. Not just once, but twice, he refused to put him out of his misery.
If nothing, acknowledge that the little boy that you loved is dead, and end his suffering.
No, instead, he fucks off to Tattooine to hide, and like Dumbledore, manipulates a group of teenagers to do his dirty work for him.
He earned every bit of it.
@@TheMetallicaMonster Don't forget all the sand people Anakain murdered, even the little children. And dont forget the Jedi younglings he slaughtered.
The scream became a meme instead of an emotion transfer, they could've maybe let Hayden's scream be heard one last time as Anakin, which would make it 10x more iconic as he kills the old him and becomes the heartless lord of the Sith.
Just like his voice breaking in kenobi vs vader
I think it would’ve been more effective if he just screamed like “AAAAAAHHHH” instead of saying NO
That was done on purpose bc of the damage to the lungs and vocal cords vader need a amplifier and translator to even speak and in his incoherent mess of agonizing noises (you can hear some before the no) the amplifier heard thoses noises as a no@thenelsonbruhs722
The Revenge of the Sith is one of the saddest Star Wars movies in my opinion. That movie has me crying every time. The movie has a lot of emotion and thought into it.
100% agreed!
I literally can’t watch that one without crying! 😭
One thing, the last thing Anakin said before the mask was put into place was "Padme help me" to those who didn't or don't know, its really really faint which goes to show the extent of his injuries.
She, only she can help him, and this effect up world full of dark Sith Lords, ruling everywhere. Just don't go selling anyone as Anakin.
OMG I didn't know that! 😢
I listened over and over again to the scene and I couldn't hear it
@@romans52345-cy3tq like I said its really faint, you'd have to wear earbuds (or earphones whichever you have) and.... turn it up on that moment before his mask is put on him.
Just turn it down or pause immediately afterwards
I heard that. His vocal chords were so scorched by the flames of Mustafar that it only sounded like a whisper.
Man, being such a huge Star Wars fan, it’s always so cool and interesting watching these videos. Keep them coming brother!
Glad you enjoyed!
George Lucas himself said he hates how much people obsessed over it and said people need to know when to let it go its just a movie
@@Real.384 I agree that, this concept is a bit overused, actually much overused. But these EU novelizations, explanations and books are really great. How ironic that Lucas himself allowed LucasFilm writers to create the books.
@@Real.384oh he does?
If you notice; the operating area is the imperial symbol with the operating table in the center.
Anakin always cared for the people around him. When he was a slave boy, when he was a servant of the Jedi order, even when he was serving the emperor.
He knew something Dominic Toretto knew as well. Most important thing in life is family.
But memes aside, he grew up poor and didn't have anything of value apart from the people around him: his mom and his friends. That's even why he saved so many clones. His loyalty to his friends came before the loyalty to any institution or organization. That's why he became a "cold blooded killer" when he stabbed Tal Merrik after he treated to blow up a ship and kill Obi-Wan as well as Satine in the process for example.
Even when he was being a slave of Sidious, he ultimately spared his son's life and saved him because he was all that was left of Padmé.
And? He killed kids betrayed the Jedi and help the emperor made the galaxy the way it was. His actions effected millions and not in the good way
He does all that stuff to save Padme @@cherifox3981
@@cherifox3981yeah, saving Luke doesn’t excuse him from all the horrible shit he did, but he redeemed himself in the force because he acted out of love and not selfishness.
How is it that Anakin didn't know that Padme' had twins?
@@deborahsmith8925 It's likely that both Anakin and Padmé thought she was carrying only a single child, not twins (what I inferred from the dialogue, anyway), plus I got the impression that she wasn't completely through her 3rd trimester. After Palpatine revealed her death to him, Vader assumed that because it wasn't her due date, Padmé's child had died with her. This was compounded by the fact that her body was prepared in such a way as to make it look as though she were still pregnant, thus confirming the truth as Vader saw it. It was only during the events of The Empire Strikes Back that Vader learned the truth from Palpatine and realized that Obi-Wan and Yoda had deceived him. 😎👍
''This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker forever.''
I know it's not canon or anything, but....Seeing that scene again makes me think that Vader's artificial voice was not allowed to convey the emotion that Anakin's voice would have, because the pain in the Force Scream might have been too much for Palpatine to survive
The George Lucas prequel trilogy is an absolute masterpiece compared to ANYTHING Disney Star Wars!
The George Lucas prequel trilogy is an absolute masterpiece compared to ANYTHING Disney Star Wars!
Also I'm two minutes into a video about his thoughts and so far i'm hearing a play by play of what we're literally seeing happen ourselves and and YOUR thoughts on it.
You're not wrong
No way he wouldn’t have just passed back out from the pain, or better yet, uncontrollably lash out with the force lol 😂
His hatred that kept him alive prevented him from that.
@@ericselectronsyeah and the force too
@@ericselectrons A month late, but he could absolutely lash out with the force, as he literally does right after learning of Padmè's death.
With how burned he was he wouldn’t have felt anything in fact it’s a miracle he even lived.
The dark side allows for more resilience to injuries. That's how they explained it, I guess
Quite lucky for Anakin that Palpatine had all that Vader armor and gear just waiting for him to be burned up
Pain in life and pain at the death of Anakin the man. Thinking of his love for Padme' was his first thought once he staggered painfully off the table; like Lazurus from the grave. No thought to his current condition but he held on through excruciating agony because of his deep love for his wife. Then the paranoid thoughts of her betrayal flooded back. Fueled by lies and deciet that she'd died by his hand. Yet, he thought to himself, that could never be. Now there was no longer a need to feel, love, or show emotions because Padme', the bridge to humaness for him; was gone. This helped turn Darth Vader into a perfect, cold, and merciless weapon.
Stop this actually made me cry 😭 I can’t 😭😭💔
another key moment some people dont know is that vader didn't actually kill padme, sidious just seduced him into thinking he did which grew more hatred in him. padme actually died due to a will to live since her beloved husband was tricked into the dark side
Vader's Order, Padme didn't die with her unborn children, she died after she gave birth to Luke and Leia and saying that there's still light in Anakin.
As far as anyone knew at that point (including Sidious), the kid died with Padmé
a tear just ran down my face
I know this ruins the story, but it's really strains credulity that the Jedi Council, and esp. Qui-Gon Jinn, didn't have the sense to rescue Anakin's mother from slavery. The Council doubts they can help the boy, even though they suspect he is the Chosen One, yet they don't listen to what he tells them: "I miss my mother".
Not really, it just shows how blind, arrogant, and complacent they'd become.
I was always like... he's fucking 9 you dumbasses. If you're so heartless you can't see that, why are you in control over anything?
@@themosh54 I agree, and I also think that the rot (for lack of a better word) should have been much bigger part of the 2nd and 3rd movies as an explanation for Palpatine's rise. It's hinted that he and Dookoo thought the Jedi were corrupted but this is not fleshed out. But, again that's a different and very dramatic story not a cartoonish action adventure.
@@joshuatoms7664 Exactly. please see my response to "themosh".
But wasn't it just their thing to separate young children with Jedi potential from their parents so that they could be trained effectively? Didn't they even say Anakin was "too old" to begin training? If most of their protégés had to leave home even younger, there was nothing all that unusual in their lack of concern for his motherlessness.
"Owe, that really hurts! Did I leave the stove on? Oh, yeah. I think I did leave without turning off the stove."
Anakin never loved Padme! He was obsessed with her and obsession and love are not the same thing!
I’m surprised Anakin felt any pain, the fire should have scorched most, if not all his nerves. And even if he felt pain, he should have passed out for the excess trauma, pain and suffering no matter how force sensitive he is. His hatred might help him stay a,I’ve, he can be more machine than man, but he’s not 100% exempt of key human functions.
It's at that moment Ananikin realised he's claustrophobic.
4:15 Reminds me of how I step off the dentist chair.
Palpatine is evil for no anesthetic
I think he has a bit of a track record there to be fair.
On two different occasions Obi One failed as a Jedi master. But you're telling me the person who created c3po out of scrap couldn't create a better suit and one that channeled the dark side more?
I think there’s some explanation about it on the other novelization that Vader could but he didn’t want to. After losing Padme, he self exiled and punished himself by living in that suit. So that he can keep living in the regrets of his failures.
That’s true, but also due to the fact that sidiuous (or palpatine) made the suit restricting and weak to force lightning to make a uprising from Vader mor unlikely!
He could, but didn’t want to
I heard he did upgrade his suit so he could be in even more pain
Sidiious failed too. He lied to Anakin about saving Padme. It was more about getting him to the dark side of the force.
This absolutely breaks my heart.. i cry every time I watch this..
I have the Book,"The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader", I can't get through it.. its beautifully tragic
100% agree!
What are you talking about forever he did not embrace the dark side forever he bring balance to the force when he chose to save his son he went back to the light
I think because that was the line used in the book to explain anakins feelings. In the part where you litterlaly see what anakin felt, the firat and last sentence of the paragraph wer: "This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker, forever."
The process of being Darth Vader was INDEED!!! very painful.....😫
"And within your furnace heart, you burn in your own flame"
Vader: but master why the cape?
Palpatine: because my apprentice capes are cool and I like them!
I feel like so much absurdity was conjured up just to retcon why he was wearing a cumbersome suit instead of taking advantage of the medical technology. Would have rather they just left him a bad*** in black armor wrecking everything in sight, rather than turning him into a complete tool
It was. The end of that movie was so rushed
Knowing that the most evil man in the universe has a kill switch for the suit that keeps you alive.
Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader had a VERY TRAGIC life. Even when Anakin became Vader, he STILL had to fight the memories he had from Anakin.
In the book he actually force chokes the Emperor then stops the Emperor lashes out beats up Darth Vader and says if he ever does anything like this again he would kill him
Correct, that was seen in the Vader 2017 comics!
It's horrifying how much this resembles my life and marriage....lol
i'm sorry
Me too…
That’s what makes these films so brilliant. If you’re unfortunate enough to relate, fuck it man you still relate that’s something. I feel your pain man. You’re never alone in this world. Hence the the force (love) it binds us all together even through hardship.
man do i have a lot of videos to catch up on
Did you know just before that mask is put on him you can hear him whisper faintly “padme help.”
Damn, didn’t even know he tried to kill palpatine right there. So damn sad
Good job Serp, I enjoyed this. Bluecanary210
Interesting video.
His Mechanical voice and breathing is terrifying 😰😰😰 but I loved Anakin more the Vader 😅
Omg I couldn’t imagine the horror and pain
"Forgot to pick up my dry cleaning"
Is this a second magnificent wave channel? The voice is similar
This Is Like Nightmare Fuels
Dang! That's sad.
I think Padme and Anakin should be together again as ghosts on Endor at the end of “Return of the Jedi”.
To your ending of your video - No, not for forever!
Imagine not being able to scratch any itch on you for years.
He didn’t become darth Vader just when he put the suite on
He was already Vader after he palpatine gave him the name
But he never saw himself as Vader. As far as I know (because Disney keeps changing things) he never even referred to himself as Vader. He was simply what was left after destroying Anakin. He mourned the idea of Anakin and hated him for being too weak to save anyone. He hated himself even more for essentially being the one thing Anakin escaped, a slave.
Exactly. People consider Vader a suit and I'll never understand why.
i finished watching the prequels a few days ago and i just CRY everytime i even think about Episode III, and i wanna know, am i being overdramatic or was it really this soulcrashing to everyone?
Haha trust me you're not the only one!
I would have blown up the Death Star too if I had to go through all that to be Darth Vader.
3:49 this actually isn’t a normal force choke that he used on the machines, instead he used a technique called “force scream” but you may be thinking: “but he’s not screaming!” Well he kinda is if you listen to the noises he makes and apparently, force scream was forbidden for Jedi
Ah Esa parte de la película desde que pierde y cae al lodo hasta el final ..fue triste ..llore
Do you remember hearing Vader's 'Nooooooooo!' all those years ago? I'm ashamed to say that I laughed.
James Erol Jones' short cameo speaks as Darth Vadar.
No Anakin made it back to the light. He did not fall to the darkside forever.
I dont know why upon looking at Darth Vader, The Emperor of Intergalactic Empire, Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movie and also watching the videos of the Annunakis, it gave me an idea that there are 2 more space ship designs which symbolized their particular entities aside from the Alien flying saucer type space ship, the Darth Vader type space ship of the eye type design, would it be the Triangle space ship for the Annunakis or theres variety in that, and the Earth defender Obi Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker space ships, the spaceships of the Space Force guarding planet Earth? Of what shape? Because theres wisdom somehow in famous movie reflecting the future to this time period.
It was painful to watch. No anaesthetic at all 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Nah bro thats just pure torture
He became vader before this...
He certainly wasn’t remarking on the weather at the time
If he would have loved her, he never would have turned to the dark side. He was an selfish idiot anytime.
Palbitine’s monster 👺 & puppet.
poor skyguy!
Padme's children didn't die with her. They were adopted by others.
Anakin’s thoughts - Oh man, there’s not enough makeup in the world to cover this.
I guess the end of Episode III is after "forever".
He was thinking about what to eat later that day 🤔 🍱
He's not unchuted.
Not forever only when Luke saved him in rotj😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌
Like all guys, his first thought was did he still have his full wedding tackle?
This shit happened for real. Then they made the man behind the iron mask. She,Padme was chained to bed with her arse riddled with sores. And more than that she suffered a lot more. More than human can imagine. Both were tortured until they couldn't scream anymore from pain. A world of pain and suffering for both, pain beyond words. Now show me Anakin, no pretend Anakin, no fake Anakin.
Why didn't Ewan McGregor just make sure he was dead?
Can't breathe without lungs.
Wow you're a fking genius, did you know you can't see without eyes too? Can't walk without feet? Fking genius mate, fking genius.
And he knows she is alive
How can he scream if he has no lungs?
He‘s turn to the dark side has killed her
What was palpatine thinking during the whole thing
Not forever
Why does it feel like I getting read a scripture in church
Palpatine: It’s Seems in your Anger you killed her
Darth Vader: I Couldn’t Have She was alive I felt it
Me: Darth Vader he didn’t kill Padmé she lost the Will to live
Enjoy the story but did you really say simutaniously
This didn't say anything about his thoughts
He embraced it. Until his son brought him back to the light.
Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader reaped the rewards of his arrogance, and so called self worth.....
Unborn child?! So what are luke and leia?!🤔
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! (still funny to me -- most of the people in the theater in 2005 laughed)
watch this, then cut to the robot chicken version where he tries out his new suit..you will laugh the rest of the dsy
If he felt every bit of pain without anesthesia, why wouldn’t he kill the emperor immediately for doing that to him…
He started to embrace the pain as it was both a punishment for losing as well as it strengthened his connection to the dark side!
Ever wondered if he needed to take a piss when in that suit?
I think there's some type of vent system in there for that
There is tech for that. Glider pilots use a contraption which allows more than 8 hours flight without using a toilet
His manhood got burnt up to. Now he needs bags. At least he can say he knows what it's like to know a woman, how many Jedi can say that? Dark Side, totally worth it.
you basically quoted almost every line from someone else 7 years ago
Not much here I'd describe as "horrifying" though.
As a 12 yr old player I can say that 50 is slow 70 is avg
I feel bad for Vader 😞 I always think what would have happened if he just told oby-one 😞😭 people who agree
👇🏻
It's tragic Anakin Skywalker won his freedom. Only to be later enslaved by Palpatine who literally fooled everyone.
He embraced the dark side until Luke saved him .
DO NOT WANT!!!
