Please don’t ever delete this video, it gives me such peace listening to it. To my mother I was the little girl with flaxen hair and she played this for me often.
Debussy est de mon point de vue un des meilleurs compositeurs au niveau de sa complexité en toute simplicité. Et sans parler de son avant gardisme sur le rythme et les accords !

There is no sacrilege by Arnaud Sussman here - this is the very fine arrangement by Jascha Heifetz (who should have been credited). Quite possibly the most famous arranger of music for the violin, and one of his best-known arrangements, beautifully played here.
not Jascha Heifetz. Jascha Heifetz did play it and put his own taste but the actual arranger of this is the Debussy's friend called Arthur Hartmann. Many people played it like this with slight differences like David Oistrach who plays a harmonic D in the beginning instead of vibrato, while heifetz and perlman played a normal D. Heifetz in his early recording also skipped the "C# E C# E" at 1:25 before the build up

That is simply wonderful playing.
Absolutely phenomenal... I shall learn it on my violin now since I know how to play the piano solo.
This takes me back to the streets of Paris every time I hear it.

Me gusta 😊 con violín.
I’ve always preferred the violin version. No one does it better than him
Yellow and dark blue stripes...are those Larsen strings? I can't see the color code on the peg end.
does anyone know where i can get the music sheets for this??
Samariam have you found them? I am desperately searching for them too
Probably on IMSLP
Look for thé Préludes not for this particular piece
It's a transcription from the original prelude for piano, made by the great Jacha Heifetz
bravissimo
im crying
Could you please add a bit of volume? It's too quiet. I'm listening at the top setting and it's still barely audible.
there's a mute

After playing both the violin and piano versions, I have to say the piano version is way better. Still nice though...
+Lawrence Kwong I think they both have something to add to the piece though.
nope.
bad audio
I have to put a dislike because of the sacrilege he committed at 1:37
Deva-Putra Wardiman, What sacrilege? I thought the harmonics were beautiful.

I like that and none of us are impressed by your opinion
