As a mushrooms farmer, I can say that I’m not rich. Most of your mushroom footage is from forest foraged mushrooms that actually aren’t able to be grown at all. They depend on tree and fungi to work together. This is why we need healthy forests. All the best. 🍄

Found a porcini's in my front yard last year. left it alone hoping it will spread more spores. Have or had Shiitake's in my backyard from spraying the last 3 mil of a syringe. Think the deer ate them too soon or some other wildlife. haven't produced or seen any in a couple years.
Thinking about trying the "Growing mushrooms on untreated sawdust pellets" from Glenn Coville. Or just get syringes of spores then turn them into 5 gal buckets and dump all over my property. Have a spring in my backyard so humidity lv's can be great. have failed several times trying indoor or controlled environment. Did some agar and uncle bens pre cooked long grain. couple years ago. with a few edible strains.
It crazy to think they use Mycorrhizal fungi in large hydro or aqua ponics in large commercial grows.

Theres been talk of using oysters and myceliated blocks to help remediate the train derailment chemical spills… wish somehow that could be organized and govt funded but. Yano. In an ideal world. I think the next big thing will have to be myco-remediation. Trying to figure out how to grow and apply plastic-eating mushrooms atm. Take care friends

In Michigan growing ginseng is somewhat regulated. Wild ginseng used to be quite common but has been overharvested heavily and is now fairly rare. It's a threatened species nationally so collecting wild ginseng is illegal. I believe to sell ginseng you'll need a state certification, at least in Michigan. Growing cultivated ginseng in a wild setting can be problematic check your states regulations. Ginseng requires a long growth period to mature, hence 6+ years. Actually the older it gets the more potent and valuable it becomes. Wild ginseng is worth much more because it's more potent than cultivated. Also if you grow outside you may have a problem with people poaching your plants.

Not sure why some people are calling this click bait…you need to do the real research regardless of what the video says which is very general information anyway

Now might be a good time to plant saffron since most of it is grown in Afghanistan, which might make it more difficult to obtain or expensive in the future. If you want to grow gogi berries, you can literally plant the seeds from the dried ones from the grocery store, and almost every single seed will sprout. There's videos of people doing this on UA-cam, one lady planted a huge amount of seeds not realizing how fertile they were and made a video of her entire apartment covered in potted gogi berry plants, they were on every surface. In some US states, there's another "High" profit crop people can grow. Marijuana! It's actually easy to grow, as long as it doesn't get infested with a few specific insects or molds.

6:30 HAHAHAHAH! In my experience the opposite is true. I have tried repeatedly to grow various types of berry bushes, and most have died or barely survived, with stunted growth from here on out. I haven't tried goji yet though. So far, I have tried service berries, currants, and blue berries, as well as grapes. Grapes have by far been the most successful, with the disclaimer that after 3 years, I am only now getting my first crop of them, which won't be ripe for another few months. I have gotten enthusiastic foliage growth, though. Despite the time it took to harvest, I'm planning on expanding my grapes plot.

While this video is great I think the estimates for GROSS revenue are a bit optimistic. Your market price is dependent on what the local market will bear if selling retail/direct to consumer, or the commodity price if selling wholesale. Also consider at least 50% expenses so net profit is half or less of gross revenue, and this isnt taking into account land cost (rent or buy). Cannabis was another obvious one but its not legal everywhere, but since legalization profit per acre has gone down significantly.

if you are doing all of the labor yourself and figure in all of the labor hours
it takes to go from planting to harvest the amount you’re making per hour
is minimal compared to planting regular crops that are nowhere near as
    labor intensive…
And if you are going to hire either help or farm the labor out completely,
by the time you pay out that expense you’re left with very little profit again
    compared to other crops…!
Now, if your time is worth nothing to you or you don’t really care about making

Tree Fountain (aka Tree of Life)
1- Bore a hole into and up a tree being careful not to bisect the core of the tree.
Alternative: Use bamboo or grow sugar cane as a natural and permeable plumbing and cultivate it so that the tree grows around it.
2- Coat the inside of the hole with beeswax. I would highly recommend making a place to put a beehive in the tree near some water. The natural hum of the bees can promote health throughout the structure and through the water.
3- Put a water basin at the top and a fire pit or fireplace at the bottom.
The water basin can actually be used for a secondary water source that would promote growth and potentially allow for the tree to grow taller.
4- Put copper pipe around the inside of the fire pit or up the chimney for a fireplace. This will act as a pump. (You can also use a hotplate if you prefer) The copper pipe should only be used close to the intense heat of the fire. Any amount of heat promotes upward movement in this case.
5- Add water wheels (fidget spinners can be used for some decent mini water wheels) for electricity. This electricity can also be used to promote growth in the structure and in gardens. Check out how electricity is used to directly and drastically improve plant growth.
6- Add hanging gardens for fresh produce. A vertical style garden will do several things to improve overall health and productivity.
7- Splice other saplings and/or fresh tree cuttings using the tongue and groove method for shelter. This can be done with roots as well as branches. Encouraging roots to intermingle and cultivating a healthy mycelium bed are both ways that allow all the plants to share nutrients and different forms of protection. This would create a natural network that can be used similar to a computer for both the plants and people if a computer interface is plugged into the chemical language of the plants.
This design provides food, filtered and conditioned water and air, electricity, shelter and SO much more! Everything a person needs for life and survival. Hence the "Tree of Life" nickname!
In addition to the benefits listed and the techniques described, this structure will grow and get stronger over time.
Crystals can be used as a natural source of low level energy creation and as forms of transistors.
Cymatics can be used as a form of communication directly with the plants.
There is SOOOOO much more that can be done using this method for creating structures and homes BECAUSE it is living.
-This idea will eliminate 90% of the demand for large corporations and industries.
    - This idea will reverse air pollution and filter the world's air naturally and beneficially.
    - This idea will reveal the counterproductivity of governments and starve the governments of their power. Your fear and desperation.
There will be no need to clear cut entire forests to build ever again and this will encourage the natural ecology in our world instead of fighting with it.
Be a part of the change.
Not a part of the problem through government.
We have made excuses for ignoring the fact that we are supporting all the problems we state we are against. Let's be the change!!!

It seems silly to me that people talk about how the price per gram of a crop. What they should be talking about is yield per acre or revenue per acre or profit per acre. It doesn't matter if a crop is a million dollars per gram if you can't harvest a gram in a hectare.

Building materials manufacturers, for one. Bamboo is being used to make things like flooring now, because it's so strong and fast-growing. You could also sell it to craftspeople who can make things like trellises out of it. The uses for bamboo are pretty endless - we're getting some this year, and I can see myself using it to build fences and maybe even animal shelters with it because it's so strong and beautifully straight :)

Bamboo? My neighbor who has since moved planted some in his backyard. It crept into my backyard. It’s incredibly hard to get rid of. No one wanted to remove it at a reasonable price. Then even spraying herbicide on it did nothing. It took a machete, fire, and then covered that ground with black plastic for a year. Regular grass is finally coming back. Did I say that it overruns everything in its path.

There are soil sterilants like Velpar, Atrazine, or Polaris that will kill any plant in the application area for a year or more. Consult you county agricultural agent for more detailed advice.

@@i-..--..--..-i6985 My wife researched and bought a herbicide, wear PPE and it left a blue stain. First application idid nothing but kill everything else. Third time is when I used machete cutting every stalk down. Where the rhizome was thick and partially above ground, a little kerosene. Then I sprayed again and covered with black plastic. Year later it was dead but you couldn’t walk across the ground because of the stubby parts still sticking up. Used old lawnmower set to its lowest setting to take care of those. That part of the yard is a now low area and my neighbors still have some in their yards.
