Summer always means the arrival of a lot of non frenchies in the capital! Some of them are tourists and some of them are settling down for a longer stay, but most of them are checking out the French and the Parisians to get a sense of their style, what the French wear, and how they style themselves.
You make think that the French only dress in luxury brands like Dior and Chanel, but that is far from it! The French have an effortless vibe, this elegant but casual way to dress that i talk about in the video. If you're wondering how to get that vibe, how to dress like a french woman, the actual brands that they wear and where you can check out the best french fashion brands at an affordable price, then you're in the right place.
The French do tend to prefer quality over quantity so some of the fashion and jewellery brands are accessible, but not cheap. But i do start off the video with 4 fast fashion brands (that you can easily buy on second hand websites) that are considered affordable by women in France because everyone doesn't have the same budget to get the typical french fashion look!
I'd love to hear in the comments what you think about French Fashion in 2022, what French brands you love, where you get the best French clothing and jewellery finds! Catch you in the comments!

Soeur is honestly the best kept secret, absolutely gorgeous
I could add a very nice french brand called “Petit Bateau”, they have a women collection, but it is more specialised for boys and girls. Good design, good quality.
Great clothes for kids too! I love going their for Eleonore :) A kid's edition video might need to be on the horizon.
Agatha French jewelry is good quality and affordable (not low supermarket quality neither high jewelry). I have had several necklaces for 3 decades and still love them. I highly recommend. They have shops in several cities in France .
Loved this video! When we went to Paris last year, I found several lovely, great quality pieces at Comptoir des Cotonniers! They do the basics very elegantly, at a price that isn’t too cringey, and they have great pops of color and style to add so everything is coordinated. I always feel beautiful when I wear their clothes!
Great recommendation! It's always good to recommend places that do color, because it's not a given with French brands!
So glad you mentioned second hand at the beginning of the video! I do that a lot, too!:)
This is the video I've been waiting for 🤩♥️
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have several cherished pieces from Sezane, Sandro and Soeur and I love them. I also love Tara Jarmon.
I don't know Tara Jarmon so i'll have to check them out! I hear a lot of people complaining about the prices of Sezane vs the quality but all the pieces I have from the brand have held up really well!
Thank you! Great information
Thank you! ❤
This was a great video! The only ones I think are missing are Cyrillus which is a bit more expensive than Zara but a bit less than Sandro etc. and also I would add Promod in the more affordable segment. I’d also love a video about bags and shoes (Polène, Bobbies, Bocage…). Thanks!
Shoes is a great one to add to the list! And great tip for Cyrillus too!
Thank you!
Hi, I discovered monoprix on my trip to Paris in April. It reminds me of M&S here in the UK. Even their food hall reminded me of M&S.
I actually think that since M&S left the french market, monoprix is still selling some of their food. They did a collab or something so I think the fact that Monoprix reminds you of M&S is right on point!
Vanessa Bruno brand is très chic and very French.
Thanks for the tip!!
Voriagh is also an amazing French, sustainable, slow fashion brand. It’s more dark academia/cottage core/folk
Great video!
Also, I can really hear your French accent in this video! Have you noticed your French accent growing stronger over time, or has anyone else made the same observation?
Entertaining video, its hard to mention all brands out there but Sœur,Sézane, Sandro all nice for sure also Comptoir des Cotonniers. what are your favorite second hand stores in Paris? I live here as well and enjoy shopping 2nd hand, it just makes sense. I don't recall any videos from you on this subject soooo maybe...
Love Kilo Shop in the Marais when i’m in Paris ! Price is by the pound !
Hi Kate! I think that Zadig et Voltaire is overrated because the quality is not great despite the high price. I remember going to a store to buy sweaters for the winter. They looked like they had been eaten by moths!!! It may be different for women's clothes, but in any case, for men, they adopt an image that is falsely cool (bo-bo parisien) to the detriment of quality and elegance.
Thanks for the tips! I said it in the video that I don't own any pieces from their specifically, but if you have and don't recommend the quality then good for everyone to know! Any brands that are similar style but with better quality that you would suggest?
HI you actually have a great idea a out featuring very high end clothes as Paris is truly known for high fashion Maybe you can go into these shops Lanvin Givenshy Chanel etc and ask them if you can do a video on their items ? 💃🗼⭐️Instead of talking about France show us pastry shops around town. Clubs other high end cloths shops
As far as I know, Etam was a UK brand. Certainly, it was on most high streets in the 1990s to early 2000s. I really liked their stuff too. My French friend bought me either a shirt or top from there. I just can't remember off the top of my head which one lol.
I love their lounge wear. I have a couple of their sweatpants and they are super soft!
No, it's a French brand founded in 1958 (I just checked :)
@@mgparis I just checked. I always thought it was British. Seems its very international. The founder was German.
I just got into secondhand shopping (only in stores though, not online), it's so much fun, like a treasure hunt!
PS - it's eSpecially and eTcetera (sorry... ;)
It would you could do this for guys.
I work in Paris also with French people… and it’s hard to get my vacation because they are not willing or around to be back up for me.. did you ever had this problem? So i do have a lot of days of vacation but it’s mega hard to get approval because of the back up. Like you know the answer mostly is: no… I cannot….
It is not your employers responcebility?
Hi Anca,
I will answer in french because of the subject.
Bon courage
Sincèrement
I would absolutely speak to HR or your manager. This isn't a normal issue to have. Sometimes I have to play around a bit with the days i want off because of meetings or my team's time off, but it's not a huge thing that makes it hard to spend all of my days.
Bonjour.

Well if you want to look like wearing a potato bag or even not to be able to put a cloth on yourself, choose Kiabi !
Again, I am BEGGING YOU, please pronounce "especially" correctly. You say it at least half a dozen times in each video. English is your first language. You have no excuses.
The pronunciation sounded fine each time she pronounced / enunciated / blurted out that word.
@@chateau7 Lol, if you think that, then you too, don't know how to pronounce it properly. Maybe the two of you can form a support group.
It's the way i pronounce it from where I'm from, so it doesn't matter how much you beg me to change the way i say it. It's not happening :)
@@UnintentionallyFrenchified That's bullshit - I know tons of people from Texas who know how to pronounce that word. This isn't an accent issue.
That would be interesting if i was from Texas…In any case, you always have the option not to watch my videos if my English prononciation bothers you so much!
