I don't get this "I deserve to be in a higher rank" mentality. Anyone who has ever had to start from 0 again can attest, that you get back to your old rank within a few hours. It really makes no sense to blame anyone but yourself, because all you need is more wins than losses, which should be no problem up until the rank you deserve to be in.
Agreed. This really only applies if you are consistently playing with the same people, i.e. your friends. To be fair Plat really is that bad I feel. I was hardstuck plat like season 6 or so, I let my rank deteriorate and redid my placements and placed diamond and never went back lol.
Match 1: I believe he was genuinely really good and kept up to speed with them well, he just choked a bit but we all do sometimes. Match 2: he surprised me and did better than I thought he would considering the gap between diamond and gold, it was close! Match 3: the plat was really good also and he once again surprised me especially with the ceiling shot, a basic one but still executed with good accuracy! Match 4: once again really kept up to speed, I’m not really sure if that much of a difference in mmr is much of a difference but he still kept up really really well. All in all, every single one of these matches were out of my expectations and the players did very well!
I’ve played with Donald bump before, I’ve also played against him. He’s C2 in 3s I believe. Found it weird to see him on a video after playing with him.

Why are even there people toxic? How Sunless sayed: "people become better faster when they practice challenging mechanics." And I'm 100% agree, because it's easier to learn rotations and stuff later.
@@robertfox4114 Right, you can do all the fancy stuff in the world but without game sense, rotation and defense then plat is where most good mechanical players will stay.
@@robertfox4114 Also sunless isn't a good person to take hard advice from, he had hundreds of players drop going for the ball as well as rotating with the team so that they could boost starve every player on the field and go for demos.
I'm C2/C3 and have easily the worst mechanics of any Champ+ player. Lol. Can't flip reset, can barely freestyle and will never score an aerial where you carry it in off the wall. Positioning and teamwork is more important than fancy mechanics.
Here's a suggestion to everyone who doesn't want to play with their bad teammates: Find someone of a rank you think you deserve and play with them. It will be difficult at first but then you'll surely rank up! My friend did something like this and he went from gold 2 to high plat quickly.
I went up 2 whole ranks in every game mode after I stopped solo queuing on massive win streaks. Solo queuing matchmaking always fucked me. Definitely advise finding a teammate that's some what consistant. Best decision I made. Diamond 2 and 3 up to champ 1 and 2 easily.
I need teammates like that because every time I just join a random match they just either forfeit or just leave the match and when they leave the match I just still keep going and try not to give up
1’s is the way to better yourself under pressure mechanics wise most definitely it definitely helps me in 2v2 3v3 forsure, I hate 2v2 because one bad mate your fucked, 3v3 one bad mate and you still have another usually boosting everywhere prepped for the pass plays with the bad mate being so inconsistent it throws the other team off
I got the same opponent 2 times in a row (ranked 1s, i think i was d3 at the time). He was being toxic since the first match. I beat him 10-2 , and he called me a smurf. In the second match I beat him again without any trouble, this was his excuse: "You're playing like a pig." It was hilarious lmao
Matreso's most big problem is what caps all people mechanically speaking: his wastes a lot of boost when he really doesn't need to that's one of the main reasons why he cannot follow up most of the balls. I've done that and i got past diamond 2 pretty quickly
@@di3yus459 I think the bigger issue in that certain situation was that he not only tried to get that middle boost he was already almost past, missed it and then still moved almost directly towards his corner boost? And wash dashing just on the ground like that usually doesn't help a lot for speed. Helps more with getting back momentum when landing after being on the wall for example. Anyway, back to that situation: If he had simply moved back using the curved boost pad lane that would lead him to his goal AND give him about 48 boost, he might've had way better chances at getting that save/clear. Those lanes of boost pads in general are heavily ignored even at lower gc. Can only recommend a video by virge talking about this in a 3s rotation video. Real good stuff. Also helps with not going all the way back for boost every time while on offense, releasing all the pressure your team had.
I think the top misplays are the bad challenges, sometimes it's like he's really betting (heavy) on the opponent missing the ball entirely. And at the worst times, it happens in positions where he really should be shadowing to buy time for his mate to rotate back
Solo queueing people complaining about being a lower rank than they deserve because of their teammates are ridiculous. Here's why: all solo queueing players get their teammates from the exact same pool of players. Some of them manage to rise in the ranks steadily, while others stagnate and blame that stagnation on the same pool of teammates with whom the other group was able to climb. These people are unable and/or unwilling to accurately identify their own weaknesses, while being hyper-focused on the weaknesses of teammates. (Surprise: people have different strengths and weaknesses; it's what those average out to that ultimately determines what rank you're in.) This lack of self-awareness is what is ultimately keeping them lower, not the quality of the teammate pool, which everyone shares.
I can tell that's the type the plat was that won against the diamond. He CLEARLY has the capability of playing in high diamond, but if I had to guess, his teammate messes up once and he fails to trust him for the rest of the game. Happens to me so much in C3
@jklaiho this is so true, you couldn't have explained it better. People tend to blame anything but themselves when they lose. I get that you can't have good teammates all the time, all they gotta do is adapt. At the end of the day the only thing that they can change is their OWN playstyle, and telling randoms they suck isn't gonna make them play better.
What about the solo players who play against premade stacks? Theres days where I only go against full teams and get all solo players. Not saying it's always the teammates fault. As I looked for my own mistakes then improved it. But as soon as I stopped solo queuing and found teammates, I went up 2 whole ranks in every game mode(including extras playlist ex. Dropshot) from diamond 2 and 3 up to champ 1 and 2s. Having a consistant teammate every match makes a big difference. But if both teams are made up of solo players it's different story. Game comes down to who has a smurf on their team lmao.
I have less than 200 hours, I'm plat 2. Sometimes I play with my friend and he was GC. When we play, we face higher ranks than me, and I understand why I'm plat 2.
yeah it was just for that goal, so hard to tell if dark was going to block that shot or not but I felt I couldn't do a rematch on that game because of it.. but maybe a rematch in the future
You're a good person then, and it's far better than being a good player :) we're missing a "thumb up" option in the game, I'd love to be able to leave a positive feedback to other players sometimes and they should be rewarded if they get enough of them. If they want to get rid of toxic players, they should reward being nice first, instead of the "report" option that is a mess for them to objectively evaluate.
William: "Im a freestlyer" Me: Thats excactly why your plat XD. You dont let your tm8s do anything, like any passes or anything like that, you dont rotate, and then you get pissed if they miss, thats why your still plat XD.

Genuine question. Do people actually play like this like making call outs about everything they do, because me and my mate are c3/gc and we just piss about
haha yeah I do that same thing with my friends, but the video definitely adds pressure to the situation so the comms are probably a little unrealistic for what you'd see in solo q obviously, but both teams communicated so it kind of cancelled out

"I CaN FLip ReSeT" lol yh and ur still platinum. how has those flip resets help u bud lol
And I don’t believe it either, he could barely wavedash (actually, prolly didn’t even do 1)
Why are even there people toxic?
Here's a suggestion to everyone who doesn't want to play with their bad teammates:
Find someone of a rank you think you deserve and play with them. It will be difficult at first but then you'll surely rank up!
My friend did something like this and he went from gold 2 to high plat quickly.
thanks man! i'll make sure to get some pros to play inhouse with so i become a pro! ;DD
or better yet, ACTUALLY play in 2200 mmr !!! im gonna be SO GOOD
Lol, in all seriousness I suggest you start slowly, but Its up to u.
Went from d1 to c1 like that 😂
I need teammates like that because every time I just join a random match they just either forfeit or just leave the match and when they leave the match I just still keep going and try not to give up
you should start interviewing the person afterwards to see if they changed their minds
Theres this magic thing. Its called 1s.
my guy 1s can be to frustrating for them since they than dont have a tm8 to blame there own mistakes XD
@@michelvannieuwkoop5413 😂 they blame it on the opponent “playing weird”
@@cbf9871 o yea hahaha how could i forget that one 😂
Im silver one and I think my teammates are holding me back I could probobly be GC by now or even SSL
I only miss a few hundred balls.
oh fine, wanna test it? xd
@@LordKosmux yes
The reason why I don't rank up is people like William!
Not the teammates are the problem, it's the enemy! (and me who's the bad teammate) :P
Matreso's most big problem is what caps all people mechanically speaking: his wastes a lot of boost when he really doesn't need to that's one of the main reasons why he cannot follow up most of the balls. I've done that and i got past diamond 2 pretty quickly
I wanna ask one thing. If your mechanics are better than a diamond 1. Then how da fuck do you mess up a wave dash.
@@di3yus459 im c3 and i stilsometimes mess up wavedashes lol
@Drangel Juega im low c3 silly i wont do much good only diffrence between them is more consitincy
While most of the time it's not an excuse, that gold three was wayyy better than any golds I've seen
Game comes down to who has a smurf on their team lmao.
there are people who get boosted by their good friends and then solo q and make ppl of that high rank lose, am i wrong?
I have less than 200 hours, I'm plat 2. Sometimes I play with my friend and he was GC. When we play, we face higher ranks than me, and I understand why I'm plat 2.
