@@insideatent that do be me i love losing this way i can learn their tactics and make their tactics role with my own making me better at the game iam playing
Not to belittle the game or the actual gamers that play it... but rocket league is not a "gamer" game, it's a highly casual game that a lot of non-gamers can enjoy. It's like Call of Duty, or really any multiplayer game on console, it's a game where they have to commitment to it, they don't feel like the other players are actually people and treat the game like a toy they can throw out when they're done with it. They don't take it seriously and they don't treat the game or the people playing it with respect. Most people that play Rocket League aren't "gamers" they just play games, it's the Zynga problem, the playerbase is mostly made up of people that don't play other games and don't actually spend time improving. They don't actually think about how good you can get at the games and think that they're the top of the ladder, the best player out there. Because of it the community is filled with a sort of toxicity that's hard to be rid of, ingrained in the culture of the game. People that think they're a pro at the game, claiming others are lucky when they themselves get lucky more often than they care to admit. In CS:GO people say "Nice Shot" when somebody gets a moving deagle headshot, the sad part is it was an ironic phrase once upon a time, but people now actually give and take credit for a bullet going into somebody's head when there's little to no control of where that bullet actually goes. It's luck, it's always been a lucky thing, and you'll rarely see pro's actually get a moving deagle headshot because they don't go for it, if they have to shoot somebody with a deagle, they stop moving so it's accurate. But people in CS:GO think getting a moving headshot is a skill because a lot of people disregard their own skill and consider themselves to be "better" Are they really gamers? Well, to the extent that some 60 year old lady playing farmville is also a gamer, sure, but where would you truly draw the line? Skyrim Grandma, is she a gamer because of her choice of game, what about baconmom (minecraft grandma) is she a gamer? My specific definition of a gamer is that of somebody that plays more than one game regularly, I play League, CS:GO (and Valorant now I guess) I occasionally play Rocket League, Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, Red Dead... yeah Gamer. But somebody that just play Rocket League and only switches games once in a blue moon? That is not really a gamer. And non gamers in casually competitive games are typically the source of the community's toxicity.

Gamers like these guys would claim getting beat in chess was all luck.

@@insideatent that do be me i love losing this way i can learn their tactics and make their tactics role with my own making me better at the game iam playing
I play 1v1 and it's pretty funny how many people claim that things are luck. 10 unlucky goals in a row? You must have pissed off them devil.
But people in CS:GO think getting a moving headshot is a skill because a lot of people disregard their own skill and consider themselves to be "better"
Are they really gamers?
